So are you able to buy replacement trays which catch the ash/grease and the metal pieces which hold the charcoal? From my experience the ash collection trays etc of other bbq’s aren’t treated and quickly rust even if left outside under a proper bbq cover.

I'm a little confused? You buy a perfectly functional gas BBQ because you don't want to mess around with Charcoal & you remove the perfectly decent flavoring system that also protects the burners, only to replace with charcoal?

Can I use Lava Rocks instead of charcoal using the same concept?

Hi Suradha, we've not tested it with Lava Rocks so wouldn't recommend it. To be honest, Lava Rocks mainly do the same job as the flame tamers so you'd just be doubling up.

@@sura1778 how is the BBQ going? Are you still using it a year after posting this comment? Hopefully it’s still all working and no parts have broken or rusted.

@@MrMonero Yes, I use it more frequently almost atleat one day in a week even in winter. Cleaning those grill is a massive pain though, had to clean two rows!!

@@sura1778 nice to hear it’s held up well and still working properly after a long period. Yea I can imagine that cleaning those grills is a pain. Double the layers = double the cleaning 🧼🤨
