I sat here and at the spur of the moment packed a bag jumped in my pickup and drove 600 miles south and checked that Monument out it was pretty cool.then drove back up 600 miles to Southern Illinois. I was thinking about taking a day off and coming down there in October but I wasn't sure if there was anything going on there or not on that day.

I did something similar - in 1989 - from the Louisville area -

i planned on coming down for the benefit but i had horses running and help - good help is so hard to find i needed to be here - but i am gonna get down to the memorial soon

KInd of upset about this. Ive been there THREE times now all the way from Colorado. Everytime ive asked if one of them can show me where the site is, I always was told " No its private property and the owner will have you arrested" Yet ive seen many many vids of people getting escorted to the site. I was also told Dwain Easley owns the land, but also told an Asian guy owns it. All i want to do is see the dam site just once! I guess just like everything else in life its all about who you know!

Question. From all my research and google maps with planes exact coordinates, it seems much easier to access site from chicken farm, which you guys obviously did not go through. Is there a reason you went a longer way?
