GRIDSERVE begins construction on Stevenage Electric Forecourt®

We're proud to announce the start of construction of our fourth GRIDSERVE Electric Forecourt® at Stevenage, located next to the A1(M) on the grounds of the Knebworth House Estate. Due to open in late 2024, this latest Electric Forecourt® is part of GRIDSERVE’s commitment to ensure everybody in the UK can make the transition to an electric vehicle, and do so with clean energy. The plans state 34 bays + lounge area

their ridiculous prices have made charging an electric car more expensive than running a petrol equivalent

They've got to pay off the charging infrastructure, and pay the high unit price. It will come down after more renewables are built, wind is booming, by 2030 the domestic unit price should be capped at around 19p/kWh because most of our energy will be from wind
