I love the Gridiron front and rear bumper, but I don't really want a lot of the other stuff included with those two sets. I wish they'd sell the bumpers as a set. For 40+ years, I haven't questioned the VAMP's gun being remote controlled, so it just looks funny to me when they are manned. That seating arrangement looks goofy.

Great review. This is a big improvement to the base Vamp and makes those guns actually useful!

GS' attention to detail is top notch!!

I bought all these Vamp accessories last month. Can't wait to get them. Grid Iron does some awesome work.

Exactly, pick a hat you like. I just needed to put it out there so hopefully I won’t get the question anymore why people buy all these options rather than the Vanguard.

GS really needs to consider selling some of these sets A La Carte!

Good review. I love the Vamp, absolutely love it. I have both open ones “stock” right now but I’m going to add something to one of them, either this and the roll cage or one of the other options like the side gunner. I think 2 Gridiron add ons is enough for one Vamp but to each their own. Also, I don’t like the Vanguard, especially for the price……I couldn’t imagine choosing to buy that vehicle over a GI Joe Classified Vamp

I don’t want to shell out more money for this thing. But I’m tempted to get it all. This piece looks a bit much. But the other side pieces and bar in back would be ok.

I agree Punk. I have no interest in the Soccer Mom vehicle aka Vanguard. I prefer the more military look myself.

I think the Gridiron add-ons are overdone. I prefer the simpler retro Mark II side doors, roof and rear platform from Pixis Design that really make the Classified VAMP look more retro than modern.

That gun is sweet.

Personally, I think the seat would be a lot better if it was raised up so the gunner could bend their knees over the bars and not look so uncomfortable.

Yeah I just don’t see how it looks natural any way with the roll cage on it. Remove that and make a system that just raises the gun to where it is now and that might work.

The tank starts life as a jeep wrangler.

I guess there is a limit... GIS looks like they just crammed as much as possible into this to sell product.

Yes and no. People seem to think you have to order everything when you really only have to order what you like. With that said, I think that if you add everything it’s a little too much.

Be WAY BETTER to have the guns auto no gunner behind it and turn the seat around so a figure is facing behind the truck to cover the rear

The scale of the figures to vehicle is way off, 1:18 is a where it’s at. They had it right the first time.

I'm with you on this one. The rear gunner seat is a tad overkill imho. The bumper looks good tho. I guess the beauty of these add-ons is, pick and choose what suits best for you or go all in if you like. I will say this tho, sure as shit beats an armoured PT Cruiser 😉

My VAMP arrived to me just two weeks ago. Still stock but tempted to order the doors and roof. We'll see... love your videos and reviews by the way!

@@Apunkwithtoys I was a bit more concern with storing fuel next to the side machine gun, but I guess we can "pretend" it is water or put some Nonnef water cans there instead. If Hasbro is paying attention they might even notice that the cans are different on the Tiger Sting. if that is ever relevant. as for getting in an out.. yeah there is a lot of clutter in the way.. and more to come too.

Now it just looks cluttered.

I ordered the Gridiron gunner seat and shielded minigun and I think that combo will look good. I ordered the Vanguard but if I were limited one it would be the Vamp, especially with the Gridiron upgrades.

If you’re going to buy upgrades for the vamp that means you aren’t satisfied with the base offering.

Not to argue and for the record I fully agree that people should like what they like and buy whatever toy they want. To your point on a "military" vehicle, which military in the world employs the Vamp or the Hiss for that matter??? 🤔 I look at these as military styled vehicles, which the Vanguard does qualify and as a plus has the advantage of being a real world armored vehicle. Overall, I'm a fan and supporter of the Iron Age. The more independent creators delivering quality goods (like Gridiron and Valaverse) the happier I am.

Great video. And, yeah, I agree. Vamp it's cool as it is. It could be a little bit taller in the cage and some details like the pedals, but overall it's fine. Also, while I ordered a Vanguard, I don't get how some folks are always making unnecessary comparisons. I mean, right both are vehicles, and? They are not interpretations of the same vehicle, so I don't get what they are pretending bashing the Vamp or the Hisstank and turn it into a competition of "My toy it's bigger than yours".

I just hope/wish that someone will release soft tires for the Vamp!

You nailed it with this one . I think valaverse totally missed the mark with a rich man’s armored car. They (valaverse) should have came out with a hummer or mrap even. That said the grid iron stuff is awesome . Never had an issue with anything I got from them and Mark gives great customer service. Price is high , yes but it’s made in America by a small private owned company. I’ll support that

It seems like a weird argument people are making that to have the Vamp you have to get all the Gridiron parts to compare to the Vanguard. Gridirons cool, but not necessary. The Vanguard isn't for me for the reasons you said in the first couple minutes. I'm not taking the Steel Brigade out to play soccer.
