Would honestly binge this as a tv series. The story line is so engaging, the characters are superbly written and delivered! And low-key, but Claire is kinda hot.

Can we talk about how Ryan Scott is a kickass teammate to have? I mean dude matches my pace and I'm full throttling turns on yellow orange race line on expert and dude is just keeping up. I'm specifically talking about the ravenwest story

not really, 22 became a reserved driver in case if lara crashed, ajeet say that 22 is still on the team, seneca now have 3 driver, which making senneca racing team having better chances in upcoming championship

Not sacked, Seneca just has two teams now: the regular one (Yume and Lara) and your career mode team (you and Valentin, plus Ajeet). It's a set-up for the career mode. Think Red Bull and Alpha Tauri.

Anyone named "driver number" is destined for a major championship trophy. Just look at his master driverone Williams Number 1 in the 1997 formula one world championship

Need For Speed better bring back cutscenes with live acting and blending it with game graphics. This saves more resources than animating a 3D human and still looking quite off. They nailed it in 2015, only the acting isn't great

The Grid World Series is a 30 race season. First 17 races, all 11 teams participates. Race 18-20 is three knockout races, bottom of the table will be knocked out one by one. Eight Teams will qualify to play-off, the Gauntlet, which is 9 races long, and final three will race in one-off championship final in last day of the year. 2021 Grid World Series Final Standings: some team will mark their possible origin 1. Canon or not, I gotta admit that Ryan McKane back as the big boss after the loss he went through... Guess money and fame got all over him. And James Randall...I look forward to play this game.

There's something about Ryan McKane that compares him to like an almost mafia Don-like personality behind the scenes, especially with his habits of resorting to illegal cheating, dirty tactics and race-fixing, all based on favoritism and/or nepotism, such making sure that Nate wins at any costs necessary, even at the expense of the drivers' safety and even their lives. One such example was that the protagonist's teammate, Yume Tanaka, was said to have her leg amputated after an accident that Nate caused at one point of the story, and as for the other drivers, it was not clear what their fates were, but a pile-up like that would have killed some drivers. This makes it look more as if the Ravenwest team are almost similar to Red Bull last year, except they're far more brutal in their cheating tactics.

Okay, I thought making Ravenwest into cheaters was very low of Codemasters. But making James Randall the owner at the end? What the *fuck*? Are they excusing the literal murderers that they wrote into their own game's plot 2 decades prior? Are they literally saying "cheating is bad, but injuring other drivers on the track is a bit better and outright murdering them is A-okay"? This whole game looks like an insult to long-time fans.

grid always was about contact between cars and ravenwest AI is way too agressive since the very first game, if compared to other drivers. I think the story mode it is quite good and doesn't disrespect the other games or the fans, we always could see ravenwest as a couple of douchebags. but I agree ravenwest ending was quite stupid

I feel Ravenwest cheating would be a neat idea but the way it’s done here is pretty underwhelming and disappointing I think this game’s story would be done better if both Nate and Lara were both in on the cheating while Ryan is unaware, and it turns out that Nate had been getting illegal mods from James Randell who is using a false name. I would say Lara would still turn against Ravenwest, but she comes to this when Nate considers asking the team to sign Driver 22 (You) during the press conference we see later in the story. Because I feel being under appreciated in a team that’s clearly Nate’s team is not fully enough for Lara to switch, but she goes with the cheating when she is given a false promise to have a proper run to become champion At the pre-final race have Ryan find out and he is furious at Lara for not telling him and when Nate loses, show that the McKane announcing their departure, with Nate being confused while Ryan responds with “be grateful you still have a career” and then show James taking over Ravenwest I mean that’s what I would do for the story, but what you think, what would you do for the story to improve the story

You know what's funny? In race driver 1, Ryan McKane went trough the same thing as the finale here. One of the drivers was cheating, but he didnt report him yet so he could beat him on the track.

Well, more than cheating actually. It was attempted murder(one successful murder when Ryan was a kid)

Their acting is so good! Enjoyed every scenes!

I like how they say Seneca may not survive as a team, they even have the same color scheme as Haas.

I mean it's plausible. Twenty years is a long time, plenty of time for Ryan to become an arrogant douchebag desperate to stay on top of the standings, and for James to have more or less redeemed himself for his younger self's behavior.

Ryan saw his dad die in a crash by the hand of Randall right before his eyes, and his brother Donnie had to force himself to follow the same footsteps in racing, away from home, just to provide financial support to his stricken family, so he grew up without a father figure. Nathan is implied to be the son of Donnie, who also was ultimately involved in a career ending crash caused by the same Randall. it's only natural that Ryan tried everything in his power to return the lifetime favor to Donnie and grant his nephew a bright future, even if it meant throwing away years of legacy as a legendary driver by cheating (his twisted morals might be due to his childhood trauma caused by the crash he witnessed). Randall taking over his team is cruel and almost tragicomic in the end, but it really shows how the whole McKane name was tarnished and ruined by this man. sorry for the wall of text, just my two cents on the plot

Here's hoping that Russell T. Davies can somehow shoehorn this into the next full series of Doctor Who.

Computer assisted steering? So it's not like hydraulic power steering, but more like electric servo connected to the steering rack, and it's controlled by the computer that receives signals from the steering wheel, that's just like the video game controllers? And which mods? Remote control? AI? So Ryan controls instead of Nate??? Secondary power unit? What is this, a second engine? Where? In the trunk? Then how it's connected to the gearbox? Via a common crankshaft? Or it has its own gearbox? How they're synchronised? Or an electric motor? What it's powered with?

Codemasters really needs to hire writers. Cheesy story with cliché characters seemed ok to me in the 2000's when I was 8 but now it's just off setting lol. Like I would not consider these cutscenes cringe but sometimes it looks so cheap that it's pretty damn close, also seeing Ryan becoming such a steretoypical vilain was really really weird, ok I get it that you want to make the McKane the antagonist and the "Ryan lived long enough too see himself become thé vilain" vibe but please could you try to be subtle about it ? Like just a tiny bit ? lol Maybe making proper cutscenes like the one they did for breaking point would give less of this soap opera vibe, but I guess they didn't really have the budget for this.

I notice that alot of the racers talk alot of shit about the player character even though ive smoked them all in every race i participated in very brave considering the only way they can catch a w is when the story dictates in cutscenes. Especially when you essentially get B teamed at the epilogue man ill smoke Yume and Lara both in any race so dont forget the MC got seneca the win.
