It’s because of Codemasters. Listen to DiRT Rally 2 and a lot of sounds are from there.

I want a game with Grid 2019 or GT Sport exhaust noises, Crew 2 map with FH4 detail and graphics, and Need for Speed Heats customisation.

Considering it’s Codemasters I’m not surprised. They did Dirt Rally too which also has insanely good car sounds. Everything from exhaust notes, backfires, limiters, gearbox whine and general chassis noises from the rough roads... GRID Autosport was the same experience for me too.. awesome sounds.

This may come as a surprise to you, seeing that your comment shows a naive understanding of the concept of money, but not everyone has $80 lying around to spend frivolously. There are other expenses to account for, and many people are not willing to fork out almost $100 for a game, especially one that has had fair criticism over its lackluster career and repetitiveness. Not to mention that its worth is completely subjective, so to some it’s not, “10000% worth the money.”

All cars from group B always sounds badass, they are one of the most dangerous racers ever

Its the de acceleration and engine braking sounds that also stands out in this game. Awsome video man shame it was interrupted so many times by the fucking annoying youtube ads

My dad used to own an Volvo 850 T5 R. It is by far one of the best sounding cars I have heard in real life. Especially inside the cockpit. I don’t know what it is but the sound was just so unique.

The turbo rally engine has anti lag, I think we just need 2-Step. Although anti lag on the Evo's and WRX's would be amazing

The Turbo rally cars like the M-Sport Fiesta or the Quattro has anti-lag. 2-step is also there but not as emphasized

It's the same as need for speed arcade style game with nice sounds then forza with more realism but sounds not on point

Zavex Heart trust me, don’t! It’s a waste of money in its current state I’ve played for 9 hours and have no reason to return, the car sounds are good and the graphics are nice but there is barely anything to actually do in this game, the multiplayer has been dead since release and the car and track list is pathetically small, wait for a DEEP discount or for more content to roll out before purchasing

Forza horizon just needs a new sound team. This game is doing car sounds right. Im a big Forza guy but I do like to see other racing games succeed in doing more for the car community. Hopefully one day we'll get the perfect game. A blend of Realism, borderline unlimited customization and eargasmic sounds to fit our virtual needs.

Holy shit these are real. The ferrari ,488 sounded so realistic. I was playing the real sound and this back to back. No changes whatsoever

This game can sell by it’s sound alone. Imagine what turn 10 could have done? They could have made every PlayStation owner an Xbox owner if only turn 10 could reach this level.
