Grey’s Anatomy: Sarah Drew REACTS to Japril Spin-Off Rumors and Possible Second Wedding (Exclusive)

Sarah Drew is dropping major ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ bombshells in this new interview with ‘Extra’s’ Katie Krause. The actress talks about Jackson and April’s return to the show, saying the finale will leave everyone wondering, ‘How does everybody recover from this?’ Sarah also reacts to rumors of a Japril spin-off, sharing that she would love to see it happen. She then talks about the possibility of a second wedding or a second baby for the beloved TV couple. The 400th episode and Season 18 finale of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ airs May 26 on ABC.

I think Sarah Drew must be one of just the nicest people IRL. She is always so incredibly likable in interviews and seems so genuine.

I met her twice in real life just randomly and she is so nice and very funny and super quick. She's absolutely amazing. None of that is just a show for the cameras like it is with so many celebrities. Sarah Drew is the real deal and I wish I could be her actual friend.

I would be here for a Japril spin off in Boston. April could work at MassGen. Avery at the foundation headquarters. Koracik working there too and we could dive deeper into his life and back story and let him settle down with someone.

I think I would be more OK just in the knowing, that Japril is back together instead of watching them and giving the writers the opportunity to mess them up
Sarah aka April is just such a breath of fresh air I love how are eloquently she speaks she's so gentle and quaint I like her personality

You don't need to add break up drama to add drama. Especially since they are working with the foundation and politics will definitely be involved that would add drama, they are still in the medical field would add drama, explaining to Harriet about her brother, the other characters, and I could 100% see Jackson and april adopting a kid which would add drama.

Olive you're so right.. cuz when I started watching the show actually it was August I think of last August yeah and it was already 5 years aired before that so you're right. I was so hooked on those episodes every day I was watching all the episodes then.

I think a spin off would be great! It’ll be a great way to reinvent and renew the show in a way. I reckon greys anatomy is overrated and over done at this point. Having a spin off would bring some new air to it.
It was nice to see her and Jessie Williams. The whole question about can the show continue without Ellen Pompano is empty. The answer is they will not. Shonda Rhines has been adamant about this. So has the new show runner Krista Vernoff who is Shonda's right hand. When Ellen leaves, the show ends. It does not mean they won't try to do a spin off, but the show Grey's Anatomy will come to an end. This is not open to question as the original creator and showrunner and the ongoing showrunner agree on this question as does Ellen.

Grey's Anatomy is not like it used to be.....I realize many different storylines have to be introduced but I am not liking the weird relationships and characters that come on. If season 19 is the last and if it ends in the middle of it with Meredith leaving, it won't be the same. April and Jackson, Bailey and Ben are more real than the other characters. Shonda wants to accommodate many only to get ratings, but that's not real to me. Sorry, but I will pass.......
