The look on their faces in this scene shows so much emotion. You can tell really how upset and heartbroken Meredith is over the fact that Zola is sick and was taken from them, I think she really felt like it was her fault... Derek was obviously also heartbroken but was their to support Meredith after their loss of Zola, I know he was distant (understandably) he had to process and it was mainly Merediths fault that she taken away. Obviously their fighting over Meredith tampering the trial effected their marriage during early season 8 and played quite a big part on why Zola was taken away. Both parties (Derek and Meredith) were at fault but you could really tell in this scene and the previous scene where Meredith is crying in the locker room that she really was sorry and felt a lot of guilt. No one is going to read this but that is ok 👌.

Finally someone who said it right. Yes, Zola getting taken away was Meredith's fault but it was *not all* her fault. Who told Derek to sleep on the deck the day they got Zola the first time?! Had he just gone home, then there wouldn't have been inconsistencies in Meredith's story the next day!! There's a scene when Derek and Owen talk when Zola's back in the hospital and Derek says, "It's all her fault." That scene made me so damn angry cuz it was not all Meredith's fault. Quite frankly, they pretty much jumped into adopting Zola. It was so freakin random. We were never even shown any scenes discussing whether they would want to adopt. And all of the sudden, Derek just springs on Meredith, "Let's adopt this baby." Wtf! They jumped into the whole thing without thinking any of it through and they were both at fault.

She wore makeup in the earlier seasons and now she doesn’t. When she does interviews she wears makeup and she looks amazing. But she’s been doing the show for almost 2 decades and still looks outstanding
