And she chose love, she could have stopped and let Derek die and nobody could have said it was her fault, she literally had a gun on her head, she could have stopped and ran away and live and do a million more surgeries afterwards but she chose what at the time seemed like a death sentence for herself, she chose to save Derek because he was her friend, because Meredith was her best friend, she was scared and crying and certain she would die right there but she still did it out of love, maybe not romantic love but love all the same

I mean, yes that was love but it is also surgery. She took an oath to save a life, and she didn't stray away from that. She can have both love and surgery, which is what Owen told her at the end of episode- she doesn't NEED to choose cause she can does deserve both.@@TabbyeLynne

She broke his heart twice and he was worried as hell about her when she left he almost risked losing a patient (though she died eventually because April made a mistake) because he was too worried about her, he almost risked his career because he was so worried about her he was the phone all day and ignored patients so of course he would chose himself, his career over someone who couldn't care less about him

Ge failed his boards and yeah he never told anyone but then the cool and calm ready to roll alex became a loser and 007 george became the heart in the elevator guy and he made sure everyone remembered. Not his hardcore attitude in the elevator he made sure everyone remembered alex was a loser and then he screwed shepherd's patient because he made calculation error and oh yeah addison was punishing him coz she did something illegal in an OR. She was watching it all but she wanted to make alex a good guy she wanted good time she wanted kisses and thanksgivings and wanted to discuss why he couldn't perform for her He did wrong. Cheating is inexcuseable and you can't give a good reason to cheat but she was not innocent. Especially for someone like her who defines herself as empathetic and emotional and kind she was never kind to him. He didn't want to lose her but he could never get rid of her telling him he couldn't do anything in bed. And rebecca was a glimpse in his life before seattle. His painful life he would be horrible to anyone who interfered and that was the 1st time she was there for alex when he needed support. She did the right thing to not let him shut her out

Derek was married, while he was together with Meredith. Cristina was with Owen, Burke and a resident in s10 I think. So Izzie isn't the only one who had many partners. So stop "slutshaming" her just bc she is a woman

Its just she quickly decides she's in love and now she wants that person. Not once or twice but 3 times and in a very short time span. It was a joke not slut shaming "Slut shaming" is a pretty strong word

Med school does that you..the first time we went into the dissection hall ( when I was in year 1 of med school) we were terrirfed of the cadavers. Two years later we would literally be eating in the DH.

Cristina loves surgery way too much, she literally handed off Owen to teddy like nothing and never wanted to get pregnant

She left him because she felt betrayed. Stop hating and see Izzie's point of view. 1)Alex is a douche. Always has been. Even to some people that he loves. Generally an unpleasant person. 2) Alex broke Izzie's trust when he cheated with the nurse. She can't 100% trust him even though they're married. Trust is like glass. When it's broken you can try to put the pieces together but you'll always see a crack in the glass. The glass will always be fragile. When she got fired, she reasonably believed that Alex betrayed her again and decided that Alex can never be trusted. He'll never be a nice trustworthy guy. So she left.

@@hdly682 them getting back together in the first place was a mistake imo. They were only married cos Izzie had cancer and she thought she was gonna die (as stated by Meredith herself in season 9 or 10). It was never a real relationship/marriage. Besides, commitment is equally as important as trust in a relationship. Izzie may have screwed up by leaving, but Alex is also to blame for the downfall of their relationship. The moment she left he reverted to his skank ways (basically trying to commit adultery), and when she returned to try and put things back together, he basically told her to f off. Izzie had trust issues, but Alex has commitment issues too. After season 16, try to prove me wrong.

@@hussainmartins5985 I get it Alex is messed up but I wouldn’t be all happy to see Izzie too after she left him with thousands of dollars dept from all her surgeries. She left him with all her medical bills and without a goodbye. I feel like izzie just wanted to be with someone, Denny wasn’t an option so Alex it is. Izzie is not that innocent anyways, she broke up Callie and George relationship too. They were not meant for each other, Jo and Alex was good too bad the actor had to leave the show. But we’re not gonna sit round and put the blame on him, it takes 2 to tango

@@hdly682 going away and leaving are two different things. Rewatch the show and give me a scene where Izzie actually said "Alex I'm leaving you." She blatantly needed her own space after feeling betrayed. Crap like this happens a lot in the real world. Furthermore, I repeat: Izzie came back and tried to make things work but Alex told her to go. She never wanted to leave him with medical bills. He TOLD HER to go forever when she wanted to stay and fix her mistakes. I NEVER claimed that Izzie was completely innocent, I just claimed that Izzie isn't 100% wrong in her logic. She's not the devil you're trying to make her out to be. And yes, we are gonna blame Alex for leaving. Did Izzie pull a gun on him and force him to leave Jo? No. Him leaving Jo was entirely HIS choice, just like him telling Izzie to go was entirely HIS choice.
