You can imagine all the dermatology residents talking about the surgical interns all day, like "who are the guys in the blue scrubs staring at us?" "idk man, one showed up and then they all just kept appearing... they keep saying stuff about lotion and blood lust. It was funny at first but now they're making me sad."

They also diagnosis cancers ...treat dermatosis and severe infections ...it s not as pretty as they made it seem

They also deal with much more severe conditions, some life threatening, some severely debilitating. There’s the lighter more common work, and there’s the heavy life changing work for all fields of medicine.

mimi el Me too. I hate that they portrayed dermatology as a field that just boils down to pampering your skin, but it’s saved LIVES. My grandfather had cancer a year ago, he’s 91 this year and got through it just fine with the guidance of his dermatology team. Some people suffer from things much much worse, like rare skin conditions that cause constant pain, conditions that excessive and severe peeling, burn injuries, etc etc.

It s lies ..during my dermatology rotation i ve seen some of the worst emergencies with the patients with the most pain ...it s also one of the mist difficul becoz mist of the symptoms are skinrelated and personnaly i feel line like all skin leasions look the same ...it s hard to differenciate

it isnt a lie... dermatology is one of the coolest speciality.Eventhough there is a lot of theoretical stuff to learn and photographic memory is needed, ..life is pretty simple with enough sleep and family time.i havent seen any dermatological emergencies so far.
