Grey are so fucking good, wish kyle still made music as Singularity tho

The song writing and production group Monster and Strangers wrote the chords and made the demo with a songwriter. Then Zedd and Grey only polished it I listened to the Demo that was sent and its very close to the finished product. The only thing that is really different is the drop and a better vocoder layer. They spoke at youtube headquarters about the song and how it was made.

@Kris Kaop Grey did most of the Instrumental part with Zedd adding in a few sounds but Zedd mostly did the vocal which they don't show in this because it wasn't Greys work. Zedd did all of the vocal processing, tuning and vocoding which is harder than you would think. That's why the vocal sounds so good.

From New York Times video about this song, it looks like Zedd part was recruting big name vocalists lol . Also they all have engineers who work with vocals, big name producers don't do this dirty job

I Met Zedd on Echo Tour and asked him myself. I have also talked to Skinny about the track, their sound engineer. Skinny helped with mixing and mastering but Zedd did all of the vocal editing and vocoding such as the FX, filters and EQs that it is going through. He also recorded the vocal himself, obviously a couple of sound engineers were in the room but Zedd ran the show

Kyle from grey used to make music as Singularity and his sound design skills are unreal compared to many people in the game so dont think zedd really helped them

Kris Kaop Zedd did the vocals and sing tweaking as well as overseeing the song come together. A lot of times major producers just end up acting like a boss to employees. And an upside is that since they're a huge producer, their name gets much more money and attention to the project in the end.

​@@djgusmusic He didn't "take all the credit" Grey are properly credited on BMI as writers and producers. Its VERY common in pop for artists to take "outside" songs from producers and writers. This doesnt mean something shady was going on. As a producer, I would do the same thing. If I liked a song and someone offered to give it to me, then I'm releasing that shit, properly crediting them obviously.

Grey is credited as an artist on the album cover, so no, that's not ghost production. Zedd operated more as creative director/quality control and that's why the song is such a huge hit.
