Hi I just started playing this game and I need to know how I can get credentials of other people that work for the administrator because I dont have a get shell in the shop with root access.

if it is in single player to get a username is just the last name of the person, the password can be found if you know your targets name and the administrators with an email about forgotten credentials. the user and password can also be found in the etc folder in passwd the first word is the user and you have to decipher the word and number string to get the password. does this help also, a user and password only work for ssh and ftp ports I've found, you need an exploit to gain access through any of the others.

Fixed the decipher problem, just had to download it, now i got another problem lol. I found a program that gets access to root, it is ssh tho, when i use it the following message appears: "Exploit failed, Vulnerability not found" Even with http lib programs i still get that same message.

Ok, will try my best, hope they are helpful.

the problem is when you don't find an exploit that takes over root. You got very lucky in your world seed. I never get that lucky. If you are not root you can't do anything. And the stupid of all exploits is when it says it will steal the password but the access to it is actually from guest, and that is contradictory and will fail anyway. Because getting access to passwords mostly if not all will be access denied if not root. I have a situation that the only forward thing to do to complete the mission is to attack http with an exploit that will root and steal the password but it only will do it if the root is logged in, which mean I can only obtain root access if the administrator is logged in and this is something you really want to avoid.

I've bought almost all metaexploits in the shop and put them in my /lib but still nothing works please help?

you have to go in tools in the shop website. Then you must look for metaxploit.so. Buy it, install it in /lib. Now all your exploits should work :d

also if you are meaning the exploits to gain access to stuff they should go in the /bin folder, is this the answer?

how do i unlock the Exploits on the hacker shop?? you are only using the tools from the exploits but i can't get there.

More Like Music ok so first off you have a meta exploit in the lib folder, if not then go to your hack shop and buy one they are either free or a couple of bucks which you should be able to pay. If that doesn’t work let me know. Hope this helps.

I tried all of that and got "error: can't connect to net session". Even have everything in their proper /lib and/bin folders. All my ports r open too. Playing single player mode.

you need to read exploit description-maybe somebody required to be online or just root/anyuser at target IP. also firewall can block you.

I couldn’t find the the student viewer file in the file exp,order even though I was in root?

clients for students/employees/police mostly in user's folders, rarely just in /root

If you are so early in the game you probably should just restart, im not confident you can get that email back, for the next time you can save that page in the star to the right when in the browser

you can redo the mission to get another ip by going to the settings, and clicking redo first mission, when you get another one make sure to bookmark it for simplicity and to make it not happen again.

there's not much you can do, the shop doesn't refresh and the only way I've found to get new exploits is to start a new game, if you don't want to do that, then you have to find another way or do another ip.

I'm the unluckiest man alive, I have over 13 http exploits and none of them grant me at least non-root access to the shell nor root, and the ones that do are the ones that are fixed to steal mail information which is useless to me when I'm doing an academic contract.

the account you are using to gain access to the computer isn't a high enough level, you either need a students account or to have root access

are you talking about one in the video because in that case, you likely won't have it. The exploits are mostly randomized, so everyone has different ones to everyone else, or at the very leasr a different name. There should be some kind of exploit that will work for you, just might be a more difficult to find. hope this helps

I didn't have the luck to find such a nice exploit. Mine requires an admin online. I tried to contact him with info from whois command. But he replied that he didn't work for that company...

yeah, I haven't been able to find, how to find who belongs to a company. I'm sure there is a way, or at least I hope so because it is in it. i wish I still had it as well, when the game updated it got rid of my save file so I have to start again

@@theexiledreaper8366 the terminal comes up with an error saying can't find Metaxploit library in the /lib path. I have it downloaded in /bin like I should, I also tried putting it in /lib but had the same error. Idk what's wrong. The requirement said I had to have init.so ver 1.0.0 which I do but idk if that's what's holding me up

I am not getting access to root user please help

you need to decipher the root user passwd file, or get an exploit that let's you get root access, other than that there is very little you can do

@@yashwardhanmishra1863 by that do you mean you can't log in on the computer as the root, cause then are you sure you have the right root for the machine. Otherwise you should be able to do a standard ssh login method

okay, so you have to go to your hack shop and get it from the tools section. download it in your lib folder and you should be good to go
