If Im honest Stephen..its been even better than Xmas's as I don't buy myself such exciting gifts the. However I suspect it will be my last ever boat now I over 65..so glad its working out to be a great boat

Hi Donny, you must be a real happy chappy that is a wet dream come true, me and Agnes are off for 2 weeks hols on sunday 3 days invercoe 3 days in the Fort then 4 days at Arasaig then whare ever our nose takes us .

All three places are great for boating Harry..and we are all long due the freedom of a decent holiday as its been a difficult year. Enjoy the break and lets hope for great weather

Great video, being a newbie I haven’t got the gist of what trimming means, I know how to do it putting pin in different holes. I thought it was for just if you went in shallow waters it meant you could Cary on slowly and you prop would not hit the floor? Going home on a sea beam, does that mean the sea is with you and your not fighting it? Thanks for sharing Ray K UK YNWA.

Excellent video. How do you feel she compares to the old SIB in the chop?

Hi Chris .. with two main differences the comfort of being in chop is remarkably similar. The old SIBs floorboards creaked and groaned all the time so I didn't like it being airbourne. The solid alu hull is a very quiet ride and I had no worries of it being airbourne. Because Im sat in the tiller position in both boats..its not as bouncy a ride as the bow suggests..in fact it was a very dry and comfortable trip. I wondered how it would like a beam sea being much narrower than the SIB. Obviously it rolled more in the hollows but it didn't upset the ride in the slightest and I was in no concern with its performance. It could keep on the plane long after I would have had the SIB at displacement speed as no worries of floors breaking. The best thing about this boat is its a short shaft ..so an ideal upgrade for any SIB owner as the use same OB. And at 3K its also a cheapish upgrade

Thanks for the reply, Donny. The fact it is short shaft is exactly why I am so curious, as I would like to upgrade my T38 to something which doesn’t bend so much and has more options for securing things (if you drill holes in air floors they sink). I have had a go in a 3.6m and 3.75m f-rib and found them to be very slammy.

@@mimiselphani Hi Chris..if Im honest..I was going to get a Highfield Classic 3.8 alu hull (same boat but shorter) a few years ago..but after trying the F Ribs ..I gave up the idea because they slam as you know. I presumed these would too. No disrespect to F Ribs..I have one as you know as does my brother..but they are not in the same ball park as the Alu Hull boats..and they cost more for comparable size .Try and get a trail in one..Im sure you wont be disappointed.. I know I wasn't :-D

Hi anatural ..its a Quicksilver 420 Alu hull inflatable :-D
