I prefer the 2622 for cleans. Both are equally good with gain but the 2622 is more focused.

I've got the little one (Streamliner Jr) with the BT2S pickups exactly as shown here, I've been unable to put it down ever since about 2 and half years ago, the tonal capability is off the charts, particularly for driven harder stuff, I have the other gear to make it wail properly, they are very special indeed. I've only lowered my action once and took it off it's standard factory gauge strings 10/11? to 46 to 9-42's it's flawless, stable, and an absolute screamer that virtually plays itself....amazing guitar.

Yea, I think Gretsch wins when it comes to guitars. These are my genres: jazz/pop/rock/funk/blues/rnb/soul and dance. Side note: 9's break too easily from my experience.

I own the 55 , I really love it , play gigs with it . Imperial Stain with T. Don’t hesitate, we’ll worth the $$

I'm looking at that model to buy. But is the finish a "walnut" (brown) or a deep cherry finish? Online pics show different finishes or it is my monitor. My stores don't have one for me to look at.

It does have some neck dive because it’s so light

How is the balance of the smaller one? Does it neck dive with a strap? I was just about to order one when I realized the top strap button is on the back of the neck heel instead of the wing.

Both sizes are neck heavy because they are so light, G2655 more so. You could replace the plastic cheap looking knobs with billet steel lol.

My ribs want the small one. My ears want the big one. 😭

Is there any possible way that when these guitar demos are done that thy CANNOT be over saturated with effects? There are many out there that do this. It masks the tone WAAAAYYYY to much. Its okay when its just switching through the pups to demo those,sounds great, but other wise..ugh! I am not sure what these folks are doing/thinking. Going for this big production multi effect wanking.

Its to show guitar diversity. If you show that a guitar can do more than just play the same basic blues lick or jazz lick, then basically you’re showing a product that can be sold to a wider audience. It’s basic marketing. Stop sounding like an old fart.

I made the same comment on the Mini Universe reverb pedal. I ended up liking the pedal / $30 a no brainier for cool reverb pedal. Anyway every single video review done on the pedal the guys all had it turned up pretty much all the way. Who turns a reverb effect up all the way?? I'm a pro player with 50 years experience. Reverb should be used way less than all the way up. Anyway I pissed the guy off LOL Los Angeles
