Gretsch G5410T Electromatic "Rat Rod" - Affordable, Vintage Rock Vibe.

Slather on the Bryllcreem, comb back your Pomp, and turn these Filtertrons up full blast. Back when Gretsch was the sound of rock 'n' roll guitar, the "Rat Rod" would have been the envy of the denim/leather jacket crowd.
Truthfully, none of us here even knew what "Rat Rod" referred to. Turns out it was slang for a modified high-performance auto (hot rod) that was deemed so cool that the paint job and trim could look a bit "ratty" and it didn't matter.
This Gretsch G5410T Electromatic is definitely a Filter'tron-fueled powerhouse, but we think the black satin finish is gorgeous as well! Don't think that this hollowbody is a one-trick pony for Scotty Moore/Duane Eddy tones. Listen to Jon pump it through some modern gain for truly unique sounds. Get this one in your hands.

I've just bought one of these, in that colour. Something about the red pickup tops and aged binding fools my eye into thinking it's a really dark green! I was only going to have a look around the music shop , but this one kept looking at me, and clearly wanted to be mine. So I tried it out, and now it is.

Hi mate. Just to say Great video and review on this guitar. You’ve kept it real geezer. I’ve just ordered mine today. Same colour. Regards, Andy from England.

Actually the Rat Rod has "Sound Post" Bracing. One small square dowel running under the Bridge and connect the bottom and the top so they resonate together. I own a Vintage White and have very little problems with feed back or tuning issues. My very favorite Guitar to play.
