She is also only 16 and honestly as someone who grew up in Australia with no ozone layer, becoming desensitised to bush fires like they are just a fact of life, coming from a country with the highest rates of skin cancer in the world and seeing in my lifetime at 41 how my countries climate has changed from when I was a kid to now the world needs more people like her. If years ago parts of the ozone layer not existing above a country isn't alarming to the world that climate change is real then I don't know what will.

When I was 18 in 1971, it was the beginning of my goal to save environment. In the USA there was already a movement, it was then called Ecology. I taught my own seminar, as a sophomore in college, separate from the schools curriculum. It was a non-credit seminar, I held it to find like minded students who wanted to begin finding solutions for recycling. Recycling in the USA, was in its infancy, it was barely known about, or a concern of anyone, except for a few students. It wasn't my job, or something I was learning about in college. I went to college to become a Fine Artist. But this was a personal hobby of mine. I continued to add to that narrative my whole life, and now at age 65,.....I am seeing the world worse off than it has ever been. I, we, made some strides. Recycling has been embraced in most American cities. I helped locally, ( in my adopted home town) with this effort.

Can someone help me understand. Skavlan is a talk show that is filmed in Stockholm and London (it says so on the channel's "About" tab) but Greta is in Alberta, Canada right now? I've looked on Google, IMDb, Twitter and I can't work it out. I know that she hasn't travelled back to Sweden but this show is filmed in Stockholm...

More than half of the electricity from most cities comes from burning fossil fuels. Even in the sunshine state of California, the sun is so weak in winter that only fools would think that solar power can replace electricity generated from fossil fuels. If there is a power shortage due to enforcing of the so-called Green New Deal in which fossil fuels are banned from being used for generating electricity, all households pledging support for the so-called Green New deal as Greta does should have their electricity cut off so that hopefully the freezing cold will make the global warming and climate change sheeple come back to their senses.

@@simon6071 hmmm, not a bad idea. They could make it an elective... A custumer could agree to be cut off, whenever the availability falls short. Of course, we know most greeners would not elect out of electrical power, even for a day, regardless of the source.

@@simon6071 Looking at the earth's tilt, wobble, and orbital relationship to the sun, we will likely experience warmer summers and cooler winters for the next few decades, but certainly nothing so extreme to be considered catastrophic... thus the urgent nature of the agw movement to get laws in place as soon as possible.

Funny, the government has been dumping poisonous chemicals onto us for years, via Chem Trails. Perhaps we should discuss that first. Then there is the systematic poisoning of out food, via Monsanto. To the people that accused her parents, you´re all wrong. Her parents had a good life before this!!! They didn´t need this!! I´m not from Sweden, I´m from another country in Europe, but I´m a fan of her mother. I listen to the beautiful voice of Malena Ernman when she went to Eurovision, and sometimes I comment on her videos in youtube, and after the ONU speech in monday someone answer to one of my comments in a video of her mother. And the person said that Greta has alcool syndrome. A hate comment precisely after the speech in ONU! The haters are real and they are watching every video of her mother singing just to see something that they can use against the family! How sick! I feel sorry for this family. Greta is very in love with the climate cause, and her parents supported her, but I think they were never expecting this amount of hate.

Thing is we would all die off before the planet did and we've become that disjointed and vile selfish creatures that a lot of us think that would probably be for the best. The day of equality will never come

I love her. She doesn't care about what people think, she just cares about the truth and how to preserve a future. I hope the world leaders will finally do something and she can go back to being a normal kid. It is only now that I got the chance to really watch Greta and this is what i observed: Greta is a very sensitive human and her face is very expressive, and people most of the time mistaken her facial expressions to something else or something negative. She admitted to having Autism and we have to understand that she's probably trying her best to figure out every sentence and every reaction of the person she's talking to that is why she looks at them intently. She also gets impatient easily due to her Autism but it seems she mean everything that she says and she is very careful with her words and she doesn't want everybody to read her thoughts. As an introvert i could understand the intense emotional side of Greta when expressing thoughts and feeling. She care so much and she wanted to have a better world. I hope to see her succeed in this endeavor. After all, it is a good advocacy.

Jaime Morgan That is untrue and shows that you are unaware of the fertilization process. The egg is fertilized while it is in the Fallopian tubes. The FERTILIZED egg then travels down to the uterus where it MAY implant and start to grow creating a pregnancy. However this process takes approximately 5 - 10 days to occur. Very often, (roughly estimated at fro 60 to 80% of the time) the woman begins her cycle before implantation has occurred and the FERTILIZED egg is flushed. Maybe before you get on your high horse and impose your opinion on a woman’s rights to her own body, you should actually understand the process. Often a woman releases more than one egg and more than one is fertilized. Your religious indoctrination is making you bend the facts or else you are unaware of them.

Now they not only have Greta with her rich grandfather + she’s eligible for disability payments so skipping school is no problem, (the other kids are going to need to get jobs in a global market so they need to go to school...) They also have Leonardo in his private jet, yacht + Cali mansion complaining about co2, as well as Prince Harry living in tax payer luxury... What a bunch of jokers.
