Debussy, I stand corrected, but a lovely piece of music.

You can't compare her with today's 'stars' because today's faces are altered to keep up with the look of youth. Garbo never had any kind of work done but still carried her beauty into her later years without makeup, as stated by other well known women stars of her time. When you have the adulation of other women, you know you got something. I think once her face matured, well, there are just no words to describe it. It's like how a song makes you feel or how art inspires. Priceless. Love my GG.

my oldest daughter was born and that day at the hospital they were playing greta garbo movies and my daughter was born during her movie. i will never forget that.

In the Ian Thomas song Right Before Your Eyes, he sings "Just like Greta Garbo, you stare like there,s no tomorrow". I know what he means.

She was born and raised (very poor), in Stockholm Sweden. She's buried at Skogskyrkogarden in the outskirts of Stockholm. It annoys me that americans believe our most beloved actresses Ingrid Bergman and Greta Garbo are americans. Although filmcareers are propably often best made in the US, it seems to me the best actors/ actresses are most often european who are more natural, more relaxed and not so fixed .

She would have looked better (in a lot of those photos) if she'd done a bit less eyebrow plucking. Not a fan of pencil-line eyebrows. Just detracts from what are otherwise totally classic features.
