My mom wore Arpege. It's such a beautiful perfume which started my life-long love of fragrances. Very nice vid and needed to take our minds off the constant barrage of...you know what. I hope you and your family are doing well. :-)
Back in Garbo’s day, Mascaras were in cake form with a small flat brush to apply it. Also, Max Factor was alive back then and had a little makeup salon on Hollywood Blvd. How fabulous!
I didn't realize rimmel was around back then

I didn't realize either that Rimmel was around then. Gretta Garbo was known for her eyelashes being thick and long. I remember my mother telling me when I was a child I had Gretta Garbo eyelashes.
Great choice of Actress to showcase Laura Jane!! I’m so impressed with the book you found on Greta! That would keep me busy for days! Take good care! Look forward to the next time!!
That's an amazing book, it looks beautifully produced. Imagine having your possessions set out like that for public display! Lovely little video. Thank you.
Greta Garbo , and Monroe , Dietrich & DiMaggio ❤️ (I had to sing 🎤 it “ Vogue “ 😂)

yes I noticed that also! I wish I could find some for a nice price.
Angela Lansbury who was gorgeous in The Picture of Dorian Gray as Sybil and in Sampson and Deliliah. Plus she survived Hollywood's habit of ousting older actresses.
She had the most beautiful eyes!!! Ive used vasoline on my eyelashes at night for years my mom taught me that when I was a teenager...I'm going to start using some on my eyelids and my cheeks😄love these videos thank you Lovely!
Thank u posting Greta Garbo!!! U are the best!! Xxoo
Wow - that is, one amazing book 👍🏻
Thank you Laura for posting some of the most fun posts on KZread. Keep posting all things vintage. I have been loving the 1940's & 50's starlet videos lately. Health and happiness to you and all ;)
This is an interesting video ,, never knew all this ,pretty cool to know all this stuff ,, everyone used ERNO LASKO
Thank you so much! Have been waiting for this video 😍
I really love these videos about old Hollywood movie star beauty products. Keep them up!
Thanks for your lovely videos and for offering those of us who have to stay indoors a nice, glamorous distraction.
Aw Greta. I live just a block from where she lived in Stockholm before she moved to USA. Love her.

Dante 12690 Camille is my favorite. She was very beautiful in The Single Standard. Diving off the yacht, on the beach with her young son....breath taking!

Thanks Laura! You look beautiful! 💖
Erno Laszlo, wow. I began using the cleansing bar (the black one) and cleansing oil a few years ago without ever knowing the history of all the old Hollywood history of the company. I love that brand but wow the lotion and snti age products are expensive. The cleanser is not as much. I didn’t even realize it as high end at the time. Now I know that it’s a classic brand film stars liked
Wow that book looks great and the products you've found are great!!!
Great video! I wear Vent Vert, love it.
My mom wore ARPAIGE
What a cool catalogue!
That book is amazing , an intimate look into her belongings ❤️❤️
Great video!
wonderful video! in the future you should do olivia hussey!
Great channel great show
Arpege!!!! It's a beautiful fragrance. I understand it has been reformulated, but I'm going to get another bottle and I hope it's not far off from the original.
Fascinating insight.
Boots a British chemists ( drug store ) has sold Rimmel since it was first produced. I have several early Eighties Rimmel lipsticks, which are round like all lipsticks, but have square casings.
I love these.
Beautiful
So few of her items come up for sale. Those that won items at the auction are not giving them up. So many stars used vaseline. I'm not sure if it was Garbo that went to bed covering her hands and feet with vaseline then put on gloves and socks.
Vaseline is great for lashes and brows . I use it on my lashes a lot in winter , just apply and then curl . I’ve read that it can help lashes & brows grow . I also read that Marilyn Monroe used it on her face ...... but that it made hair grow on her face . Either way it’s super useful. Thanks for these great videos !
PS I hope you do Hedda Hopper! Id love to know what perfume she wore and if Erno Lazlo pops up in her beauty routine!
Interesting video and channel! I have read that Garbo also wore Tabac Blond by Caron. And a comment about Balmain's Vent Vert: the original scent that Garbo wore was quite different than the modern formula in the modern bottle you showed. The original scent was gorgeous but definitely not light. If you research the topic, you will see what I mean.
Fabulous Video! Thank you for posting. I have a documentary on Miss Garbo, She was a very fascinating woman and very aloof and misunderstood. I've watched that documentary a million times and I still don't get her, maybe that's the point.

Beautiful Laura fabulous video 💙❤️😘
I used Erno Lazlo quite long time ago. It worked me for some time. My skin changed and I moved on to something else. It ain’t cheap.
This was lovely..can we get Rita Hayworth please?
Would you do a video about Louise Brooks? Thank you.
Laura hi 👋🏻 how about Ornella Muti.🙏🌹
My maternal grandmother resembled Greta Garbo in her youth, and after watching your video I found out that they share the same birthday, September 18. 😀
I own a set of four port glasses that belong to her that we bought from auction with the authenticity certificate
Very interesting !I didn’t realize she lived so long.
Aaaaah Greta Garbo!! We love better😍
I will never understand how could they use vaseline as an eyeshadow base

The only thing that I dont like in Gretas make up and how the made her look is that she was so very young and with this make up look she looked 50 like Dietrich.Well we all know about the craziness of Dietrich to look young, she invented lifting but she always look old.
I love Jane Seymour, but she might be too young for this series.
Greta was a male. "She" used to joke about it all the time.
Love Greta Garbo! I so enjoy all of your videos😊Any chance of doing Clara Bow or Claudette Colbert?
Beautiful
