My favorite artist can't wait to take my wife to see him again

Criminally underrated artist and shows how far we've fallen with music in recent years. If you look at some of the names that take all of the accolades and top spots in charts etc...and then look at the auto tune talentless music they put out, when compared with Gregory Porter... it's grossly unfair. Gregory Porter is living in the wrong time. He would have been a king of music 20/30/40 years ago. His voice is outstanding..and it's so effortless. He makes some of todays more popular artists look like frauds. Just doesn't seem to be about the music anymore. When an artist like this has an estimated net worth of $3 million dollars, and an artist like Drake has an estimated net worth of $250 million dollars...something's very wrong.

Very well Said. I would see this guy from time to time and never knew what he does until I saw a documentary he was in and I said let me look this guy up and ooooooh my goodness how as a singer myself how didn't I know about him sooner!!! His music is what you want to start a day off with a smile.

I heard pianist Chip Crawford 30 years ago playing solo piano. He sounded like Oscar Peterson! He was a killer pianist at a very young age.

What a smooth vocalist he is. Luckily I have seen many jazz vocalist over my years working NYC nightclubs, The whole package is great. With sounds like this, jazz will live on forever. Thank you.

I am 43 years young. I listen to Gregory Porter as I conduct business from home. I listen to GP as I interact with my kids. I listen to GP when I am by myself and am just sitting still. My 4 yr old knows the words to several of his songs and I am so impressed at her appreciation for this music.

I knew nothing about him until this morning on the Saturday morning news. and I love his music . I had to look him up on You Tube and I have been listening ever since. I love his music 😊

I could listen to Gregory Porter's voice on repeat for days on end...

Went to see him live he sang Take Me to the Alley for like 12 minutes and I cried the whole time. , just something in his voice form God, his voice makes you want to be a better person.

A vocal master...so effortless. His music makes me want to sing, dance, laugh, shout, holler and cry all at the same time. This must be what Heaven feels like.

Sting did get the Polar Prize in Stockholm. The first time i saw this Man to. He is Fantastic. What a voice. And so smooth and cool.

I have been mesmerized by Mr Porter and his band for a few years now. Every time I revisit I am refreshed and continue to yearn for music and artistic expression like this. 1960 what who… Thanks Mr Porter and talented band! You’re on my bucket list!

I had the opportunity to see Mr G. Porter perform live with an orchestra, and he touched my spirit.He is so unique. This brother had such a diverse crowd. All colors and ages... Listen, he is so impressionable, this brother is going far.

I don't know how I could have not learned about Gregory Porter until 2019. I'm not really into jazz, but I am so HOOKED now on this man. His voice is AWESOME ❤️. MY GRANDSON ELIJAH LOVES HIS BE GOOD ( LION SONG) AND HE IS ONLY 1 YEARS OLD.

Mr. Porter ...I have just discovered your music the past few months..I don’t know what rock I have been under. You remind me of my Uncle Billy. Who used to entertain us in the evening on the front porch with his guitar. Your voice and your facial hair look so much like him. He has gone on. I bless you in your career...you have a lifetime fan here. Your music Catches your attention with your gift and story of the song.

How lovely to know that other 73 years old groove...love it. These young blood musicians are class act. Love it. I love the Stung tune young Mr. Porter does. He is what I call a BaSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS, It is refreshing to know that the music will live on.

How on earth have I missed this beautiful gift! I have been painting all week to this amazing music! What a blessing!

My Mother Day, for me is to sit back and relax and listen to Mr Porter 🎶 all day, Beautiful he is, Thanks Mr Porter for yur Music after a hard week at work, that Sunday is a good day to listen to no noise.

Words can not describe this performance I was truly enlighten! I laughed, I cried and I danced to the music. I ENJOYED THE MAGNIFICENT VOCALS OF MR. GREGORY PORTER AND THE MUSICAL ABILITY OF THE ORCHESTRA WAS EQUALLY IMPRESSIVE. I'm so glad I watched! I want more!

All you 270 people who gave this video a thumbs down should stick to a musical genre you enjoy, like kid music. Gregory Porter is the best jazz vocalist going these days, save possibly Kurt Elling. You don't know anything about jazz crooning or the range this man brings to the stage.

OMG...‘he’s one of my mom’s favorite jazz artists...saw him At Howard Theatre the year before my mom passed with her..! She almost jumped off the balcony!lol. Thank you fo him an his music for putting smiles on my mom’s face and being able to enjoy his music with her! Amazing talented artist! Thank you for your gift!!
