I fell in love with this song when first heard it at around the age of 12. I'm 48 and when I play this song, I feel like I am that young all over again. No, they don't. People are still good, but addicted to instruments which drive them to bad. So they pass up the good entertainment for the bad too often. The contemporary, the relevant, the feed for that addiction. I feel more emotion, and stronger emotion, with this good entertainment. Let's just call a spade a spade: They are missing out.

Growing up, my dad used to have this song on repeat in the car. His favorite song. He passed away in 2016 on his birthday. Coming to listen to this song brings me back to those car trips to the store or to pick my mom up from work. Miss you dad... Thanks for introducing me to such an amazing song, giving me your drive and showing me how to be a loving and compassionate person.

1987 was one of the BEST YEAR of my life. I was 23, and the world seemed to be at my feet. Sadly, I'm 60 now, and life has really defeated me in so many, many ways. Lost so, so many loved ones. As they say, the ones left behind are the ones that truly truly suffer. 😢 Some days, I feel like what's the point of living when all your loved ones are gone? Life isn't fulfilling like it used to be. I don't know anymore. I am blessed with a little Chihuahua though. Oh man, he has brought so much joy, happiness, fun and silliness back into my life. I thank God everyday for bringing Kona into my life. I love it that we spend 24/7 together!! Hes my pride and joy!! ❤❤

My mum, uncles and aunties have influenced my youth growing up with 70s and 80s music! I’m 28 and I haven’t stopped listening to all these songs. It’s funny, when I was little the music was a theme, now the music is a memory of things I can’t relive and people I can’t see anymore. Is this what it’s like growing older? Nostalgia? Melancholy? It’s like a subtle sadness but it’s attached to happiness in my memories.

So glad I grew up in the 1980's and 1990's, born in '81. Such great music and freedom. These days are a living Hell, just about everything 2000 onward.
