lesser known? hmmm... ABBA has shitload of songs that are pure gems but maybe not in the masses knowing... The Eagle, Summer Night City, The Piper, Arrrival, Another Town, Another Train just to name a few...

ABBA has never ceased to amaze me. This cover is wonderful.

Sarah Brightman did not write the lyrics. Tons of singers have covered this ABBA classic - both the non lyric and lyric version. The original ABBA 'Arrival' is instrumental and vocalizing. Then Bjorn Ulveras later wrote the lyric years later for the possibility of it being used in Mama Mia musical/movie, etc...

This tune is so versatile, but always retains that same far north quality to it.

They did a fantastic cover but Arrival has no lyrics. Benny and Bjorn did that for a reason. I believe they meant for the listener to decide what the music says to them.

ABBA's Bjorn Ulvaes added lyrics in 1999. Why? Because the musical Mama Mia had planned on using 'Arrival', so Bjorn wrote lyrics. Sarah Brightman and tons of others have covers 'Arrival' with the lyrics. And tons more have covered the original. It is an enourmously popular cover done by orchestras, military tattoos, etc.... This song was the title track for ABBA's 4th album. The album went #1 all over the world. Hugely successful era that put ABBA into orbit. The cover art is the one with the Swedish foursome in a helicopter. They had Arrived! Big time!
