Charlotte Tarantola is the featured artists this Episode of Spotlight Artist Series.
Charlotte is a force of creative power. There is not a field of artistic endeavor that she can not do. From fabric to paints she takes control of her world and transcribes it back to us through her lens of life.
Charlotte Tarantola (or “Glitter,” as everyone calls her) has the unique DNA of a disco ball, and sparkles, quite literally, in both spirit and eyeliner.
Early studies in costuming, sculpture, lithography, textile & surface design, and fine art prepared her for school in the Big Apple. Even earlier, Charlotte enjoyed finger painting, and occasionally still can’t help herself. She was introduced to The Fashion Institute of Technology by drag queens, and graduated with honors and an intimate knowledge of style.
The new project in the works is a May 2024 solo show at the Culver Hotel in Culver City, California.

Liquid Landscapes, a solo exhibition of new paintings by LA-based visual artist Charlotte
Tarantola, debuts at the Culver Hotel, providing art lovers with an immersive interpretation of the
quintessential California lifestyle, sunshine and poolside fun included.
Tarantola presents artworks concepted and created in her pink and gold 1956 Pleasurecraft
trailer. This eclectic studio overflows with ephemera and inspiration, a sketching table, and three
painting easels. In this show, her first in partnership with The Culver Hotel, Tarantola channels
her affinity for vacationing and love for California, the ocean, pools, and sunny skies-to
portray a world of liquid fun.
