I unfortunately do not share this sentiment. I met him twice, and neither time was a good experience.

Valentine and Funk were both great workers and made wrestling a believable sport as opposed to a circus clown show. They were athletes, like Muraco, Backlund, Patera, Bravo and several others of the era. Sad news.

Rip Terry funk
There’s wild man Funk and then there’s the Terry funk married 50 years, missing his wife when she passes. There’s also an interview on KZread with him done by some older ladies in his hometown a few years ago and he’s the nicest, most humble guy.

Love you Greg great wrestler. I love your videos.
I remember watching Greg wrestle at the local arena in Clovis, New Mexico in the early 70's. He and Don Fargo had some great matches with the Kozak brothers Nick and Jerry. It was reported that the wrestler Dory Sr. was grappling with was Les Thornton on the day he suffered the heart attack. Terry Funk, the legend, rest in peace 😢
RIP TERRY FUNK
Didn't get the chance to watch a lot of Greg Valentine when I was growing up but he has definitely become my favorite shoot interview to watch.

he was an amazing athlete and a believable tough guy. Both Funk and Valentine are two true HOF wrestlers. They could both brawl or actually wrestle and there was no time limit they couldn't do. Muraco, Backlund, Bravo Patera are more examples of the great workers and athletes of the 70's and early 80's performers. Orndorff was great as well.
Wow man ive been with my wife since we were both 14 almost 40 now.i can only imagine what terry felt when he lost vicki. Trust me he was ready to go when she went so hes alot happier now.
Growing up watching Portland wrestling saw the Funk brothers many times and "The Hammer", Roddy Piper, Jesse Ventura, and many others got their start there.
I have yet to hear someone say anything negative about Terry Funk.
Don Fargo one of the greatest. He lived 3 lifetimes in 1...did some hilariously wild things.
Les Thornton
Jim Ross said he quit the WWF the first time so he could spend time w family
How are you
Did you have a brother name Dale Valentine and what's he doing now
The wrasslers of old, the real road warriors that traveled the backroads in old cars have left us. Now, the gimmick driven athletic entertainers have replaced them. Very rare does one get to see wrestling in a local venue. If so, you pay dearly for a nosebleed seat, and they hawk souveniers for the kiddies. It isn't the same. Give us back some territory wrestling and TV coverage. Not the real phony stuff of the WWE.
I like !listening to Greg, but real name? His given name is Jonathan Wisinski.

Sorry not true.. wikipedia is wrong bc my name is not Julie Wisniski ha
Valentine was one of the toughest wrestlers back in the day. The only thing he said during this interview that was inaccurate was "He knows Terry is in Heaven because he was a good man." There's only one way into Heaven and that's by accepting Jesus Christ into your heart as your risen savior. It's not enough to be a good man, you must accept Christ and turn from your evil ways.

Greg has expressed his Christian faith many times. But you are correct that good works are useless only faith in Christ.
