He will always be alive through his music and videos. It's amazing that he sounded the same till the very end. Also this songs lyrics reminds me of emerson at the end of his life, like this was written about him. 🥺

@Emerson 278, that was so nice of you to say this. You know in 1970 when they were becoming popular I was 7 and I remember their songs on the radio through out the 70's but I didn't appreciate them then. Now that I researched and listen to them I can't get enough . I'm so thankful for You Tube and people like you who help me so thank you. Greg was so talented and kind. Yes I tear up with joy also.

Greg Lake is such a fantastic musician with an absolutely incredible voice. He's definitely showing his age here, as the voice isn't quite as strong as it used to be. I hope he keeps playing live shows for many more years all the same.

Yes, I agree about the voice. It is hard for us that grew up listening to all the musicians of this era, to admit that these guys are all getting old. for that would mean that we have to admit our own aging! But I also agree and hope that they will continue to play for us as long as they are able!

There was a time when I used to "exercise" the woofers on my stereo with this song and annoy my parents. That was 50 years ago. These days I still blow the cobwebs out of the stereo, which is now several hundred watts per channel (due to bad hearing) but at least the neighbors understand... or they are deaf too!

Yes, I was really pleased with his show. I thought he would be limited in what he could do that would sound decent with a single guitar. But the way he used the background track was really cool and added a lot to the show. His Q&A session was awesome and I wish I had recorded more of that. I only recorded his answer to my question. :-)

I have always loved ELP - and one of their "trademarks" was Keith Emerson's skillful use of the synth (besides his incredble piano mastery). The synth sounds toward the end of this always evoke in me a feeling of a beautiful, clear winter night (perhaps Christmas?) when the firmament is laid out for the eye to see ("like a patient etherized upon a table"). :-D Greg Lake was, is, and ever shall be an incredible genius . . . .(ditto for Palmer and Emerson!)
