So his guitar is downtuned, but he has a pitch shifter in the AxeFx to swap tunings on the fly,(via footswitch+expression pedal, for whammy type sounds). He also has the Boss PS3 + expression pedal for the crazy pitch/delay sounds

@@MindfulProgramming There is a perfomance on NAMM where it has standard tuning in all the songs, even in where it seems its tuned on Standard C, but is not. So... i dont understand that part, may be just for the song uses an effect to change the tuning. The expression pedal for the fractal looks like it does 1 step low detuning, which is on all the time. And may be the footswitch at the side of the exp pedal, turns on/off and suboctave.

Another thing i don't understand... if in all the songs, that selection of effects is almost the same, how controls the ring mod at the same time on "Dissect yourself?" It controls detuning and ring mod effects with the same expression pedal. May be it has programmed in which part of the song will do what effect, but that's a really deep programming.

Yeah axe.... What Amp Sim and over drive. A little annoying when band just says axe fx without what specifically they are using. So common these days. Love the band tho.

@@rustyfuzz470 Dude his sound is incredible & ridiculous. People want to know what is going on with it & that’s perfectly fine for them to know. Amp settings don’t really matter on an AxeFx...if you can’t get a good tone on that you shouldn’t have bought it. However effects when he’s essentially playing keys with his guitar...that’s something to note. It’s not like they’re going to take his job like EVH seemed to be afraid of back in the day, where he lied in most of his interviews. He could help inspire a whole new generation of players.
