Pre-recorded guest questions came from Quentin Tarantino, Rita Ora, Simon Pegg, Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, Josh Groban, Olly Murs, Katie Price and Heston Blumenthal. The Great British Bake Off winner, Nadiya Hussain, provided the in-studio guest question. The children of Mitchell Brook Primary School acted out Jeremy Clarkson's dismissal from Top Gear. Jon Snow reported on Drake's "Hotline Bling". Charles Dance read from List of the Lost, the debut novel by Morrissey. The mystery guest was Cecilia Bleasdale, who took a photo of a black and blue dress which appeared white and gold to some people on the photo, leading to the dress becoming an internet meme.
One of the running gags is the panelists deciding to make an alliance against Jimmy by helping Richard & Greg with getting their answers deliberately wrong. Rob even goes far as becoming the host of the program for two minutes however the alliance breaks down after a debate about The Dress.

Greg Davis has the most amazing face, if he frowns just a little he could totally be in Braveheart, or like a murderous viking raider, but when he smiles he becomes just a giant clown, it's absolutely uncanny

😁😁😁 precisely, as a teacher myself I can appreciate a good stern frown!
Greg Davies realizing that he would have to explain that the string of words he said was 'that Jay-Z lyric' is what really makes it funnier for me.

That quick fire quote was so good. Not the first time I look back for this video because of it
I love how Rob sh*t talks Jimmy at every chance
I'm not British, but I love Jon Snow. I imagine he's a very serious news reporter normally, but he has very good comedic timing when he does the pop song lyrics on Big Fat Quiz. We don't really have a news reporter like that here in America, someone who's able to let loose and be very silly like that. The closest we have in America is Anderson Cooper getting blitzed drunk on New Year's Eve, or Keith Olberman doing voice work on the TV show Bojack Horseman.

Gotta love David Mitchell. Extremely cutting and hilarious
I love these British panel comedy shows. Can't imagine this happening with US comedians. The US Taskmaster was terrible.

a lot of US comedians seem like they don't like being the butt of the joke, which is pretty much the entire premise of task master. making your failure/success/frustration funny rather than your wit or edgy observations

@@ohnoagremlin Yeah I was thinking about that the other day. Taskmaster works because it's an exercise in humility and humiliation (though there is of course room for wit too). We want to see these people doing ridiculous and, frequently, very embarrassing things. When the comedians approach the tasks with unbridled hubris we want to see them humbled - I get the sense that American bravado won't allow this. I've noticed it with American guests on British podcasts too; they get prickly, self-defensive and rude when invited to mock themselves. Canadians and antipodeans seem to be a more comfortable and natural fit for this.

Americans are just too uptight, taking themselves way too seriously. Ironically, ripe for being the butt of jokes.

@@squidink3470 it’s a very dull American trait.

This should be titled "Jon Snow Dances To Drake"!
The old guy dancing was a delight. And the news guy, too.

How is the google profiting from one-liner sock puppets making comments? Plus more offensive ads! Maybe depoliticizing America's legal system would help? So: "A nonpartisan Justice may compel two recusals by junior partisan Justices." How about that idea?
I wish the answer to the accident woud have been: he slipped on a slip...
I just realized what bothers me so much about Jo Brand: she's just the female version of a boomer "I hate my wife" comedian

Yeah I made that connection too. I choose to believe it's intentional for balance and to show how unfunny it is. It's still unfunny though.
