Greer Garson
Ойын-сауық
I always have the most difficult time when people ask me who my favourite actor/actress is because I just have so many, but if I really had to choose Greer would be one of the strongest contenders of claiming that title. Ever since I first saw her in Random Harvest I've been completely hooked.
This is my second tribute to her, one that I've been trying to make for a really long time but I've just thought nothing was good enough, but now I felt I needed to post this one and I really do hope you enjoy it. I know it's a bit long, but I hope you won't mind. It contains clips from all of her feature films, some of her TV work, newsreel footage etc.
Thank you all for watching and subscribing, enjoy!

One of the great lady's of Hollywood. RIP Miss Garson.
I just adored her voice. I could listen to hear speak forever.
In dec. 1962 I met by chance Greer at the Chicago art institute. She graciously allowed me to tour the galleries with her, I took her to lunch and saw her off on her train to NY where she was scheduled to read the declaration of human rights at a UN concert. A brief encounter with a wonderful woman and a day I treasure.. Richard Athan

Thank you for sharing this. Like many, I fell in love with Greer Garson the first time I watched Random Harvest. I bawled my eyes out over the film. She was not a princess but a queen from the start with such magnificent beauty, charm and incomparable grace. I have no doubt God was thrilled to call her home. What an amazing place Heaven must be with her in it.
I just love her and Walter Pidgeon together. She is just so lovely.
that captivating voice.
Excellent tribute to the great Greer Garson. She was all class.
Beautiful woman with one of the greatest voices of all time.
Great video! She was so elegant and genteel and lovely, just a joy to watch.
I couldn't ask for a more perfect tribute to an Angelic Lady and the Queen of Hearts Greer Garson ~ fell instantly in love with her on the silver screen when I was a young lad of nine or ten.
Thank you for such a loving tribute to an amazing lady! She is one of my all-time favorites. I never tire of watching her or listening to her beautiful voice.
What a magnificently beautiful woman!
Oh gosh, WHAT are you doing to me?! You've only increased my current obsession with Greer! I just love her so much! What a truly beautiful and heartfelt tribute. Thank you =) x
An extremely attractive actress with perfect diction. Thank you for such a superb compilation
I just love All her movies TCM has ALOT of em. She has True Natural Beauty, and I adore all her characters. What a time it must have been, making movies during ww2 are so very special to me. 2020 NOW crazy ASS times then as now
This was so well-done! She's absolutely the loveliest of the lovely...
Very beautiful. Many thanks for this joy!!!
She died 25 years ago today. What a beauty she was! The one thing I hate about 40s films is that they were not in color. That read hair! Those green eyes! That peaches and cream skin! It should have all been seen in color! What was wrong with MGM! Couldn't they see that the lady belonged in technicolor! Oh well I am glad for the films! My favorite is Random Harvest, the most beautiful and heartfelt love story that was ever filmed. The ending when Paula says Smithy's name and he remembers all just makes me cry every time I see this film. They could never remake it for which I am very glad of. Thank you Greer Garson for this film and all the rest that you did. You were one damn good actress! We won't see your like again and we are the poorer for it.
This is beautiful, a lovely tribute - I really do adore Greer
Such an excellent compilation. Thank you. She was my favorite as a kid. I cried and stood up in my house when they showed she died on the Oscars.
This was an actor who embodied "class." Where are they now that we really need them?
Very touching tribute! Beautifully done!
I loved this, thank you so much for taking the time to put it together.
Hi Sarah, Greetings from Melbourne, Australia. Greer Garson was one of my favourite actors too ! She always had a certain style that brought believability to the screen. A true fine lady ! Thanks for posting this ! Ralph
My Aunt’s father was Buddy’s business partner. I must’ve been 7 when he died and don’t remember him much, but Greer was around at least until I had my driver’s license. When we’d spend time together, what struck me most were being entirely self-possessed. No insecurity about young stars, vanity, always had a kind word for others, and an eye on supporting a philanthropy in some form or another. This was not the case with many of her peers who also left an impression on me as a young girl. Greer wasn’t comfortable with silence, which was fine by me with that mellifluous accent, and she laughed that contagious laugh all the time. I miss Greer and Irene Dunne. No finer ladies for a girl to aspire towards,
Thanks for making this. She was a true lady! She had it all - grace, poise, spunk, fun, etc. She is my absolute favorite actress of all time.
WONDERFUL!!!!
This was a beautiful tribute! Greer was such a wonderful actress and a wonderful human being. I wish I could have known her. Your tribute captures her perfectly :) Thank you

So many NICE images and clips! Many stars and thanks for this well-done post - and, thanks to Toni for the thoughtful share ... David
This is beautiful. It reminds me of a tribute the Academy Awards would do if someone was getting a Lifetime Achievement Award. Fabulous work

Greer Garson looked so cheerful when Bogie won the Oscar! This great, talented movie star had a great personality.
A rose by any other name remains, Mrs. Miniver. This is a wonderful tribute to Greer Garson. Thank you.

A beauty like the most beautiful flower. She was the beauty of the beauties all of the world.

Wow I feel the same exact way and the first time I saw her was in Random Harvest. After that I was totally hooked. I think she is just wonderful :D
I saw so many vids of movies/tv programs I've not seen and I thought I'd seen most all of them. I'd LOVE to be able to see ALL of them. Maybe someday soon they will make they all available to us via a computer program or some kind of pay service.
This is by far my favorite tribute to Miss Garson! The clips and music chosen were perfect! Thank you so much for this wonderful video! :)
An excellent tribute to a beautiful actress and woman. Watching this made me a fan of Greer Garson! ❤️
Sara what a wonderful tribute to one of the most grand actress's ever. Thank you.

This was EXTREMELY beautiful, Saraismyname. Terrific video of an amazing actress
If only I could pull a "Somewhere in Time" move, I know who I'd want to meet.
Beautiful tribute
A touching tribute to a great artist. Clearly a labor of love, thank you!
what a fabulous tribute to one of Hollywood's greatest golden actresses... Excellent job!
Adoro a greer...beijos sara!!
First video I've seen of her and Buddy. You've captured so many great moments. Loved this tribute, she was a wonderful actress. Beautifully done.
Really nice work. Fun to watch. Thanks for making and sharing this. Greer Garson sure was a formidable person. Beautiful woman. Her Paula stood strong and steady until (slightly dim and well-played by Ronald Colman) Smithy comes home and recognizes her. Ending has great moment entrusted to Garson's strong face. Really cool movie. I really enjoy videos done this well. Beautiful.
Linda homenagem !!! Kisses of Brazil for all friends !!!
Beautiful and touching ! Looking forward for your next tribute. A fan from Peru.
Wow!! Fabulous! How fitting a video for the Queen of the screen...Just beautiful.
What can I say? I just loved this! And I just love Greer!
I love Greer Garson's elegance, dignity, and beauty. Can anyone point to any other actresses of the 1930s-1960s that are like her, i.e., have a similar type of beauty or project similar qualities? British, American, or European makes no difference.
Sara ( what a lovely name that is) Splendid! I've been a little in love with the stunningly beautiful Ms. Garson since I first saw Random Harvest, which remains in my Top-Five Films list, some days at the very top of that list. Goodby Mr. Chips and Mrs. Miniver round out my Greer's Greatest Films. Thank you so much for this gift! I'd love to know what each clip is from, though I know it's too tough to do, so I get to have the fun of guessing.
Sara - I've watched this a few more times. You did such a lovely tribute - except for wanting 'more' - longer clips (!), who could those two 'thumbs down' voters be?? this is such a warm, tender, delightful video. Thank you again - and post more Garson soon!
A lovely tribute.
that was marvelous it made me far more interested in her than i ever have been before. ive only seen one of her performances, and that was because she was costarring with Joan. i shall l now begin to watch her projects, thanks to you and for a bonus HOW i love seeing footage of Hedy Lamarr with other people. she is my Love
I LOVE GREER GARSON !!! This is a great tribute ! I'm with you .. Random Harvest is on the top of my favorites list. And I love Julia Misbehaves and Mrs. Miniver .. and .. I could go on ! She's such a perfect lady. Thank you ... I really love this. Many many stars for you !!
I found this tribute very moving and a joy to watch. At one point I was stuck between Celia Johnson and Greer for my favourite actress. Of course Greer edged it because she had more depth to her acting, more charisma too. I wish I had the talent to produce a video like this. Thank you.
GREAT video!!
Dear Miss Sara.. I can only echo all these comments already listed here! Lovely tribute to an exceptional woman and actress! I noted the one brief moment where she says her married name "Fogelson"...perhaps you have that entire clip to post? Also, where did you that Hallmark "The Little Foxes"? I would love to see that entire performance. I will be subscribing to your feed. Thank you, again!
Well, I am happy to put a name and a (glorious) career on this actress that caught my eye in several films I remembered without noting who she was exactly - P&P 1940, the famous Mrs Miniver, the wonderful melo Random Harvest (and there are some others I will be happy to see). I find a kind of resemblance with Merryl Streep, I mean in her energy and talent as an actress.
Beautiful Video GORGEOUS woman!!
the most beautiful woman ever
I love her so much
Yhis totally cheered me up!
Dude...win tribute. Don't know this actress, but after seeing some of the clips, I really would like to see some of her films.
Thanks so much "saraismyname" you look so much like her in your picture on KZread

The day she left the world I came into this world
Just watched Random Harvest and was inspired to search KZread. I discovered your videos and they are phenomenal! You've picked some of the most elegant greats from the past to tribute. Have you considered spotlighting Deanna Durbin?
That Forsythe Woman she looked so beautiful, Joan Collins went to her house she said she was a perfect beautiful lady, Joan should know she's beautiful, class herself
Sara .. do you know if there is a recording of her academy award acceptance speech ? I've always wanted to hear it ... I've read its one of the longest on record ! Thanks ... Toni
great thanks Sara
Beautiful
Thank you so much for this lovely tribute! I am having a hard time finding all of her movies. Any suggestions?
What a brilliant tribute, I feel the same about the actor Ronald Lewis. I don't know the names of some of the films, do you have a list?
You did a wonderful and complete job!! Thank you for nice pictures of life, rare and so distant in time! A great job of editing and selection! Who sing in the video?
❤❤❤❤ love you
My name is Greer also! I just think it's so cool that I have the same name as her
Gorgeous lady
Am trying to remember the name of a movie, thought it was with her. Starts out where she and son are on a train, England, Later she is remembering (flashback is a big part of the story) to meeting them reuniting during his leave with her love / husband / the father who went off to war who the son doesn't know. In the end, (or the end of that memory) she is standing on a hotel balcony with him across from a park with a gazebo. Last time she saw him. I thought 'I'll be seeing you' was the song playing. . . Ring any bells? If anyone remembers the name of this movie, (Greer or not sure who it was but sure thought it was her) would love to hear the name from you. Thanks. Love Greer Garson.
Wow I can't believe it I have never heard that song before with her singing it . That was her wasn't it???
Jamie Dornan brought me here. FYI, Greer Grason is he's great-aunt!
what is the name of the tv show at 7:21 thanks.
hello could you tell me where the clip at 3 48 comes from?
