Refugees get to have nice hotel rooms to live in. I have heard about the children living in tents on the beaches of the South Coast and having to leave for school from there every day and come home to their tent home at night! Australia going back to the pioneer days of this country when lots of people in the goldmines and on farms etc etc lived in tents and when railway and other workers lived in tents and huts while they built this country for all the refugees and people on welfare etc etc to now enjoy and in the depression days when people lived in make shift shacks and in tents . This was part of the real Australia people have forgotten . While that is a sad business, voting for the leaders of this country should not be based on a sympathy vote. I believe it should be based on policy and how the sitting government is meeting the country's needs. How about instead of trying to raise MORE tax we should look at how we're currently pissing away billions of dollars every year while cutting funding to essential services like medicare / healthcare (They want to choke out Medicare so it fails and to a system like America so they can collect lobby money from private health institutions obviously), education and research and development? We should look to reduce taxes not increase taxes. Most wind in this Australian country is generated by the hot air wind from over paid politicians! Should be enough hot air from politicians to generate all the electricity in Australia if they are all tied to the wind farms!
