    ​@@quantumhelium Canada is one of the best countries in the world by most measures, but still behind Denmark in GDP per capita, human development, and democracy. Greenland alone, broken out from Denmark, would lag behind either country's overall HDI, just as Canada's own hinterlands do.

    Basically nobody does, if you average them out across the uninhabited interior. With the ice sheet included, Greenland is the least-densely permanently-populated territory on Earth.
