@@SimpleLifePortugal Oh No! I hope it's fixable with whatever happened. You know I will be waiting for the next video. Happy Easter, He has Risen! P.S. I just read a few of the other post . Just an idea I had when I saw that y'all were putting it on blocks. Maybe cement the bottom piping onto the blocks, then you know at least the frame of the greenhouse isn't going anywhere. I'm not sure the cover will last any length of time with the blazing sunshine come down on it.

Ahh thanks Norma 🥰it's thanks to your views comments and likes that they reached out 🥰 so we're humbled 😘😘 tools that we defo need! A belt sander, a split saw, a mulcher, a drill press, a tomato mill and So so much more 😆let's see if they like what we do, and more importantly IF we're happy to back their products. Hi guys. I see many people in high wind areas have added wooden bracing screwed into the metal bracing from the inside and long bungee elastics that go right iver the roof and staked on either side of the greenhouse for extra stability and wind protection. Good luck! 😊😊😊

BUT in the interest of being honest with our viewers we have to say that after the installation we had a huge windstorm and the greenhouse did suffer some damage. Yes winds can be a problem and we discovered this, but it's all good we can adapt the greenhouse for our context - Dan can do anything 😆😘😘 the cherry are hard to harvest since our trees are so tall. We'll need to figure something out for that 😆

Thanks so much! 😊 yes a 3m meter greenhouse is fantastic, and hard to find too... But we'll need to tweek this installation to be sure it will fit our contexte for a long time. Still have to catchup with some of your videos guys, it's been a mad rush here for the past 3 week.. Who would have thought a last frost date would be this stressful :D ho well, you live and you learn :D

lol Mason and the stick obsession... lol if you only knew how much footage i cut of us throwing sticks ahahahah!! Seriously, since the start of this channel, stick throwing probably could fill up a 2T hard drive :D lol But lately he's had an obsession with cow heads ahahh! Our Shepperd neighbour was donated lots of cow part for her dogs by a local butcher and somehow 2 cow heads landed on our land. Now Elroy and Mason are having so so much fun playing the "it's my cow head game".. So cheeky these 2 :) On wednesday we're releasing a bonus video to show our new chicken flock. well done, guys! from first seeing this greenhouse in other videos, to me the instructions together with the labeling of the parts looked very self explanatory, but i saw other youtubers struggle quite a bit. you made it look straight forward. looking good your „white“ house, and the extra bonus of having a workspace for Dan will make your life a lot easier.

Hey Claudia, thanks a lot for your comment. Truly, this greenhouse is super easy to setup it honestly took us no more than 2h1/2 to install it and stabilizing it. MUCH EASIER than the chicken run we installed from VidaXL (that one took me 2 days to put together - so cannot recommend VidaXL). Maybe people struggle because they didn't square off their base? that's a super important step and to be honest it is not explained in the instruction that one need to square of the base before installing the tarp. One thing that made the installation easy is the labeling of the parts and the packaging too. We really appreciated that the parts came in little bundles. And YES! having a workspace for Dan is gonna be super handy. BUT, we need to tweak the installation we did. A massive windstorm hit our hamlet and we need to add more weight to the structure and re-inforce some area to it our context. So expect a couple more greenhouse video :) thanks for the support

Hi guys! I’m thinking you may want to secure three straps (front, middle and back) over your beautiful green house. That would also help with wind flexing and perhaps preventing the bending of your ribs on the structure. You would peg them down very deep (similar to a camping tent but much deeper). Super happy for you! ❤️🇨🇦

Hey Jack, thanks a lot for the tip, yes we'll do exactly that and a little more as well. After the last windstorm it became evident that we'd need to adapt the structure for our context. Still a wicked cool greenhouse, just need to tweak it slightly :) thanks a lot for taking the time to give us tips, it's much appreciated!

Love it, maybe you could separate the two sections with shower curtains to save the seedlings from the dust? Great job getting it up x

hey Josie, you're all caught up. Yes, we could use a shower curtain to divide :) We also have a mini greenhouse with its own zipper tarp, so next year, if our bedroom is done (because we're using it as a wardrobe now lol) it'll be moved in the greenhouse. Lol but it's so very very windy here, I dono if the dust would have time to set :D Anyhow thanks for the great idea :) your input is valued xx

Hi. Looks like a nice Polly tunnel. If you get 140 km winds it will end up in Spain. I don't think there is nearly enough soil/weight on sides to hold it down and cover needs to be very tight. Heavy rain will wash soil away. Just going on experience. I nearly lost mine in storm 10 years ago.

Ya know, Vevor makes affordable stuff that actually very much ok. My diesel heater came from them and I’m impressed. I’d buy their greenhouse but it’s so windy here things like that blow away in our strong winds. I am looking at how you all installed it to see if I could further strengthen it more than you did for the winds. They are affordable

Well done Sindy and Dan for anchoring your polytunnel as well as you have, we've lost a few over the years and found that keeping the cover drum tight is the key. Will you put a shade cover over Dan's work area as I'm sure it will get mighty hot in there? Great work xxx❤

I don't think we'll need to put a shade cover over Dan's work area - to put it simply.. We will be releasing an update review for this product on 23rd April... @@SimpleLifePortugal Oh dear Sindy and Dan, that sounds ominous. I do hope you are both okay!! We do get quite violent gusts here which can be quite frightening and take roof tiles off at their worst. It can break your heart when you've put work into a project. We also found that the webbing covers can disintegrate in the 40 degrees heat of summer and become brittle, this also happens to zip ties too which snap after a year. Sending hugs to you both xxx

@@WendyW123 Yikes you do get very strong wind too.. Surprisingly the zipper held up well, as far as the heat destroying the webbing cover, well lol we didn't have time to find out :D :D We are both ok so nothing to worry about, just a few bruises from the high wind and trying to recover the greenhouse in the middle of the storm but nothing to write home about :D But you are right, it was totally heartbreaking... lol I guess you'll be able to read our faces in the video we shot the day after the storm.. ho well, soon it'll be all smile again, after all, today is Easter, and we're indulging on chocolate. lol Sugar make for a happy world :D

Love you too Lorraine, yes in theory the greenhouse should have been a game changer.. but... well.. 1 week after installing it so a few days ago for us, we had a massive windstorm :( Seems that despite all the precaution we took, it was not enough :( Ho well, nothing that can't be fixed... But we'll tell you more about it in a couple of weeks from now.. Today we're licking our wound and feeling sorry.. BUT we're eating Chocolate too :D

@@SimpleLifePortugal oh no… I was concerned that there seemed to be no real tie downs on the inside of the cover… I’m thinking rebar hoops sunk deep into the soil or even into concrete footings to hold down the frame.. But I will wait for the next exciting episode😂😂🤪 Much love❤️❤️

@@LorraineinAustralia yess... you were right to be concerned :D According to Google on that day, the wind blew at 22km but to be honest, it felt more like 65km - and it came from the south. So you can imagine the damage :( Anyhow nothing that can't be fixed according to Dan :D

Hey Janne! thanks a lot yes, lots more to come with the house, now we're just busy planting food and getting ready for next winter :D I think the inside house work will continue when we'll hit the heatwave, our bedroom is still on insulation non gypsum up.. So we got to get this done too cause atm it ain't the love nest we imagine :D but it'll come!

Is the Greenhouse still holding up? From what I've seen on YT the plastic seems kinda thin and not very UV proof, not sure if it'll last a long time.

How is the aeration of that greenhouse, how to prevent overheating in summer? Here in Germany I have a strong electric ventilator.

@@katipohl2431 I'd wait a bit to make this purchase if you live in a high-wind region... We have another video coming about the greenhouse, we should be shooting it this week... But if you live in a not-windy region go right ahead, this is an excellent product - we will just need to tweak it slightly to fit our context :)

Hello! Vevor didn't include the nuts,bolts,or guy wires in my order. Can you provide a description of the length,size and number of nuts and bolts used to assemble this? Ill need to purchase them separately. Thank you!

Hey Cannaman, 👋 I'd defo get I touch with vevor if I were you. Dan says the screws are probability size 35mm. As far as giving you the exact number, hummm, (maybe 46-50 nuts and bolts if our count is right) it's difficult to give you an exact number since it's alteady assembled, but if you look in the plan, it should give you a breakdown of the pieces. Hope this helps so you know ours didn't have a guide wire either.

How difficult is it to get building permission on your land ? I want to buy land with "registered" ruin in rustic land and dunno if i can build there easy ...

It was not difficult at all :) But building permits are not something we cover on our channel since we're not experts. Our top tip? Do not take or seek advice for your building permit from KZread. If your life savings are on the line it's totally worth hiring a pro. Good luck with your project!
