They have to be doing something with all the traffic back and forth. Must be something kinky! Yeah, maybe the heat is getting to me, I should drink more beer to cool down. Glad I made you laugh, I hope you had a nice beer in your hand when watching, cheers. 👍🏻🍻🙂

Fair play once again Greene King for making a proper stout. I thought it was just me n Gluggy Dougie who thought draught Guinness is bland as..these nitro stouts are dead beers, all flavours been knocked out of them through total pasteurisation. Cheers Graeme😊

Yeah, well done Greene King for making beers that you actually want to drink. You and Dougie are spot on, the kinky nitro pours are bland and Guinness is one of the worst. Nice to have a stout without stupid synthetic flavours. Cheers Dave. 👍🏻🍻🙂

Really nice body, rather dry with reach rostiness, coffee and chocolate notes. Distinctive roasty, earthy bitterness gives this sessionable stout a worthy closure. Cheers!

Nice review as usual. I saw this stout in my local Coop but went for the Brew Bitch Black Heart instead. I must say it is tastier than Guinness and has that smooth draught consistency, with a little bit more bitterness on the back end, Will defiantly try the Old Midnight Hen on my next visit. With a hopefully warm summer coming up, I will give the Old Session a go. Thanks and God bless.

I agree, I found Black Heart to have more flavour than Guinness. The price was good with the Tesco promotion, but most of the time it costs more than Guinness for a 4 pack. You should try this stout, it is an easy drinking session stout. The Old Session Hen has a nice bit of flavour and hors down too easily on a warm summer's evening. Better to buy from GK website as they are selling it for £1.50. Cheers Sir and enjoy your Black Heart. 🍻👍🏻🙂

Yeah, it's a decent for the money and good traditional flavours. Yeah, football is about the banter, but we are all home nations living as one. Long may it continue, except the Dirty Old Hen! 🫣🍻👍🏻

Yeah, Guinness is bland and bad, dogging is great until the farmers arrive! (Strong smell of excrement) Yeah, it's a nice session stout with traditional flavours. 🫤🙃👍🏻💩🥺🐶

I stumbled upon this in Sainsburys so grabbed a bottle. I was pleasantly surprised there was no coffee/chocolate powder toxicity. Tasted like a traditional stout albeit a milder taste than some. I drink more lagers in summer but this stout I found to be very refreshing. Is light stout a thing? Its not as strong or bold as Blackheart which despite its owners I do like.

Yeah, a session stout is normal. The flavours are toned down a bit and a bit more bitterness at the backend. Over all, it's a nice beer if you fancy a session and want something a bit darker. I agree, nice to have a stout without the synthetic flavours. 👍🏻🍻🙂
