Great ty !! When it comes to the amount of segments, I really don’t think a trout comes rushing up and is counting segments, and says yes or no. If it looks good, good colour, good form, they are going to eat. In all fairness we are all trying to fool the fish and there should be no right or wrong way. If it works, it works , IMHO

Simple! Love it! This'll get taken for a cranefly larvae for sure. Craneflies are under fished and trout love chunky morsels.

Swap out the peacock for ostrich and use grey antron would make a killer scud

I'm with ya! Maybe some pink sharpie coat the entire back with epoxy or goo and off you go. The ostrich is a little more prone to bind down so you need to put a more wiggle in the wire! Thanks for checking it out.

How successful has this fly been for you? It's great looking but some of the more realistic flies don't produce as well as the "buggy" ones.

I catch more fish with less segments. ;-) No kidding, I am a sloppy tier I just slap what I can get on a hook and it works for me. My flies are nasty looking, the guys on the water make fun of my flies but beg for one if I am hooking all the fish.
