This was such a great tune,...a tune from my youth,..I grew up in the early 60s through the early 70s. It has stayed with me,....and it has rocked. I never get sick of listening to it. I could play it once a day FOREVER. I do listen to it once a week or month, depending. It was perfect to listen to when I got my first car,...a German import,...kind of a poor man's sports car,...cruising on the back roads, shifting gears, the car hugging the road. It was perfect for the 33 years I rode my Honda 150cc scooter,....from 1985 to 2018,....that scooter could go fast, and I drove it on the winding roads out in the country. The tune was in my head and heart,....(I didn't actually have a sound system, on my scooter.)

2023,.....Still lovin' your music!....I have this tune in my cue,..it gets played every other week. I had the great fortune to hear the last (gasp) of the original Booker T & MGs (band) in the late 1980s, they performed in my home town, Columbus, Ohio. Sadly I am ancient,...(69). But this is a tune of my youth. Hearing it, brings me right back to those carefree days. I just read the original tune came out in 1962. I was 9,....but it still had legs long after, and was often played on our AM radios throughout the 60s and beyond. American cinema has used it in soundtracks. The movie: Get Shorty, which came out in 1995, used snippets of it.
One of the best A-B side 45 releases in history by Stax Records and, believe it or not, was a B side to Behave Yourself which is a pure slow R&B piece. ( Released in 1962 )

Actually this sounds like the other version called Mo' Green Onions, the side B version,..done by Booker T & the MGs,.....a similar version of their original. No matter, it sounds spectacular!

Way to heavy and loud on the organ. Booker just touched the keys. This guy is pounding them. The rest of the group is also to loud and heavy on their instruments. Terrible cover.

@@splintergeneration2166 actually the voice to text misspelled it. What I did is I didn't check it. But misspelling too isn't so bad. Messing up the feel of the song is pretty bad.
Way too much distortion on the organ. This cover is screaming loud. No finesse or class. Learn to be subtle. Develop the groove. Do not slap the song in our face.
