Arguably one of the most recognizable, *if not SEVERELY overused,* levels in all of the Sonic series. Can’t we just get Emerald Hill or Angel Island back, just this once?

At this point, Green Hill Zone is as much of a staple of Sonic as the Rings, the Flickies and the Chaos Emeralds.

It’s the fact that Green Hill Zone is ALWAYS used in almost every single Sonic game (not counting Colors or Lost World, and certainly not counting the Storybook Sonic games). Just because it’s one of the most iconic zones doesn’t mean it’s the ONLY zone in Sonic’s history that has to be used every single fucking time! It’s repetitive & annoying. There are more zones than just Green Hill. Emerald Hill & Angel Island exist for a reason.
My first time boosting through GHZ in Generations when it was released was the last time I was truly happy to see this zone again. SEGA can maybe let it go now... 😅
