No one gets it the first time - the guard and the sad old padre (priest) walking to get executed at daybreak..

Dead man walkin', baby. Think about it.. "For there's a guard, and a sad ole' Padre, and on and on, we walk at daybreak".

I saw him in concert in the late 70's,his voice is right up there with the best of them!

My sister used to clean up after big venues at the cia in wales, i lent her a hand for a night when tom was there, i watched him talking to his after party guests while i swept around and picked up so many pairs of ladies underwear of every size shape and colour that you could imagine, almost filled the bin liner i was dumping them in, and that was the late 90's 😱. Women my mothers age and above were still throwing them at the man thirty odd years after he first seduced them with his voice, all i could think to myself as i binned them and watched him hold court in the vip area was "fair play, that old feller over there, is a pure fckin legend"!! 👏👏😉❤

Beautiful song from Tom Jones. Elvis and Tom became good friends back in the late 60s. Tom spent alot of time at Elvis' home Graceland. ♥️🎼🎶🎶☺

Great Singer, Great song but sad ending for this man who chose the wrong road to home and the green green grass.

He has a way of making Capitol punishment of premeditated murder sound sweet.

He's from Wales but he's given a good southern accent for this song. Not many people realize that he's waking up in his jail cell. He's in prison.
