Yes, Gap Grass! Green 90s perfection in my memory! I have been looking forward to this list. I love the green fresh scents! I do love Un Jardin sur le Nil, I treated myself to a full bottle. I blind bought what turned out to be a lovely green fresh herbal surprise: Kate Spade TRULYgracious. It has pretty weak lasting power like most of Kate Spade's scents on me, but it was inexpensive so I don't mind respraying. It feels very fresh and perfect for a spring and summer day. I love Truth by Calvin Klein, great suggestion! I also wear Eau Fraiche by Elizabeth Arden when I want a fresh green scent for spring and summer. It has been repackaged and reformulated over the years. I have the version in a frosted bottle with green writing and a light green cap. It is very fresh and herbal, and one of the few perfumes that my husband actually commented on, so it must smell nice on me! Ha ha!

Calyx by Prescriptives was my signature in college. At first spray it was so strong I would hold my breath… but the dry down and trail… just wow. I have back up bottles.

How would you define the difference between the Clinique and the Prescriptives? I am so sad I didn't know when Precriptives was going out of business or I too would have bought backups 😊 I'm grasping to remember the old version and it haunts me. I think it had more of the base woody notes that I struggle to pick up in the Clinique version! Thanks Veronica Says for always talking about and also loving this nostalgic favorite of mine!

You had me at Grass by The Gap. That fragrance was such a passion for me. I guess it was just unusual at the time to smell like beautiful grass without having to role around in it. I loved Calyx when I was in my late teens and would buy it from Prescriptives along with the expensive foundation I'd have custom blended too. Fancy teen :D! I also remember Tendre Poison which to this day is still one of the strangest fragrances I've ever smelled. I doubt that Dior could re-launch it and have it smell anything remotely like it did in the 1990s. It really belongs in that realm of legend. When I eventually worked for Dior I remember that the only people who would dive for the tester bottle were tourists from Far East Asia. Great gaggles of them would descend and buy bottle after bottle, chattering excitedly amongst themselves. Upon flamboyant departure, their collective backdraft was like a vacuum and the direct airspace around the Tendre Poison bottle remained much like a Bell Jar, as if the bottle were a specimen in the Science Museum next to the less exciting displays which everybody power walks past bored, but still trying to come off as erudite and sophisticated (it's the countless Bronze Age arrowheads and endless hunks of chipped pottery that nobody gives a toss about but feels they have to pretend to, paranoid that other folks in the museum will identify them as the yokel pretender, LARPing as an educated aesthete and cultured savant). Nobody cared about Tendre Poison during my tenure at Dior but the people that did, REALLY DID. Isn't that always the way? The pool of appreciation may run lukewarm for a million fascinating reasons but there will always be a raging hot spring offering that bubbling hot small pocket of eternal admiration. Thank you for passing on the 'happy place memories baton' from Veronica to me haaha! Will we get a second commenter taking it and running? :D

I absolutely adore Un Jardin Sur Le Nil! Just discovered it recently and have a full bottle on the way. It is interesting and different and surprisingly I enjoy the tomato/vine smell a lot! It is also so refreshing and perfect for the summer!

Hey V! I’d have to say my fav green fragrance is Pheromone by Marilyn Miglin. It’s a heavy hitter and I can only wear it sometimes…but when it’s on it lasts all day and the dry down is lovely! There’s cassia in it which kind of gives it a slight cinnamon/apple pie vibe here & there. If you ever catch a deal on this scent on HSN I highly recommend for green lovers 👌🏼💕💕

Veronica, I am here for all the amazing greens in this video, your makeup is stunning. Florabotanica is dangerous, addictive and possessive. Chanel No.19 was my signature scent for almost 20 years, and is a lifer, to me this is the scent of success and achievements, I preferred it still do to Chanel No.5. Valentino Donna Rosa Verde is Mon Amour ❤️❤️❤️, the dry down I get green tea. I need to make myself come around Aura, I want to love it.

I have Mugler's Aura, and glad I have it. My new favorite green and I feel as if I "need" it Boucheron's Jaipur Bouquet. It is not a fragrance for everyone. It is mossy/mothy, strange, and citrusy. To me, it is beautiful. The aroma reminds me and I have experienced walking on a tree-lined path in Spring; the earth is wet, the leaves are emerging from the trees, and there is a smell of light damp wood in the air.

Your make-up look is stunning! Excited to listen to this because green scents seem out of fashion and I just love them. Gap Grass was a first love in college. Love so many of the scents you talk about here (except Vol de Nuit tho I love Guerlain… a skin chemistry thing). Have you tried Kate Spade Truly Gracious? I get fresh cut grass w/ a little bamboo. Great picks! I wore Demeter Dirt everyday for awhile, which smells like fresh cut lawn, similar to Grass…I love Replica when the rain stops which is green, aquatic and it didn’t get much love but I think it’s spring In a bottle. Eyes look good!

@@VeronicaSays it’s quite good, moderate I’d say, 6-7 hours, huge at first then settles after an hour or so, try to get a vintage, the modern version like everything else that has been reformulated is a little thin and harsh.

Pheromone by Marilyn Miglin and in second CHANEL 19 ..When Pheromone was launched it was so beautiful, and so different from all others . Great Video & you look fabulous !

@@VeronicaSays Hi! It's quite a polarizing scent, and I would think either you love it or hate it! It opens very lush, and it is something is super unique, so it's love at first sniff for me! It's been said to be an ode to Chanel 19 (which you showcased here! and I've never sampled b4) or Estee Lauder Private Collection! It does dry down quite floral to my nose, and I think the Jasmine or some white floral is quite prominent. If you accept samples/ decants for review, I would be happy to send you a decant =)

Calyx Perspectives smells amazing!!💚 It was the first fragrance that I sprayed on myself walking through the cosmetics store, and didn’t think about anymore. About 15 minutes later, I was like, “What is that scent?!” It was Caylx!! I called the store the day after to inquire about the name, and they had no idea what I was talking about. I tried to describe the bottle, to no avail, and I definitely did not recall the name, but I remembered the bottle. Fast forward, here you are one month later with the name of fragrance!! Thank you!😄

I had the same experience with Grass when I was younger. When I started my fragrance collection as an adult, I remembered the fragrance and purchased it for the nostalgia. I don't know if they have reformulated it, but it was not at all as I remembered and I ended up taking it back. It may be that my taste has changed, but it is very different to my nose. The only fully green frag I have in my collection is TRULYgracious, by Kate Spade. I enjoy it but I hardly reach for it. It's a good fragrance, but I just wanted to try different scent profiles and I realize I haven't found the ideal green scent for me. I also tried alien Aura 🥶🥴 and that is 100% not for me, but it is definitely strange and unique. Great video as always! ❤

I just commented about Kate Spade TRULYgracious, too! I blind bought it at TJ Maxx last year and was pleasantly surprised at how wearable I find it during the hottest days of summer. I think it is pretty simple without much complexity, but it was perfect last summer on those 98 degree days without a cloud in the sky when everything else felt too heavy to wear.

Wonderful video, Veronica! Chanel No. 19, the original in EDT formulation, was my first perfume, given to me by my mom when I was a teenager, so I love it. I was thinking about it this past Christmas and feeling nostalgic, so I ordered it from Chanel, and then I started this new fragrance hobby. So it's my first again and now it will always be in my top five perfumes for life! I don't think everyone will "get" it, so I don't recommend it for everyone, but it's my choice. I have heard some say that the EDT is more unisex (or even more masculine-leaning), but maybe that's by today's standards of very sweet, vanilla-dominant frags popular with women?

Oh I totally forgot about bandit! I love bandit!! I had a sample of the vintage once. And now you've got me wanting to explore the Hermes Jardin line again. I smelled them back in the early 2000s and kind of liked them then but wasn't ready for them. My tastes in perfume have gotten much more sophisticated and experimental since so I'll have to check out the Hermes counter. Thank you! Your videos are always fantastic!!

Did I comment on this video? I don't remember. But it was fun to watch or re-watch. Hi Veronica! Have you done a 2024 version of this video? If not you should. It'll be interesting to hear your opinion on these fragrances after 2 years and which new green fragrances you would had to this list. I just bought the Chanel N°19 EDT, the 2023 reformulation. They reformulated it which I am glad. Even the cap is different. I am enjoying it a lot I must say. I love the EDP version but I'll revisit it later this year. I was so glad to hear you talk about some old loves Cabotine, Rosa Verde, the one from Bvlgari... I have tested Aura by Mugler a few years back. But never took the plunge. But I remember liking it! It had excellent projection I remembered. Your description of Futur by Robert Piguet was so funny. I could easily imagine the disco scene. Too loud of a fragrance but I am sure very interesting. Channel 19 was one I spray while mom wasn’t watching and felt like a million dollars in school..i want the Valentino one. Kia Ora & Good Morning from New Zealand, Veronica. I so look forward to your reviews as I love your style and your humour, and your content is always interesting and considered. I am finding myself really attracted to green fragrances lately and recently bit the bullet and invested (and it WAS an investment!) in a bottle of Frederic Malle Synthetic Jungle. This was after I had secured a small sample from a local retailer and test worn it a couple of times. I just love how it lasts all day on me (which most frags def don't) and seems to keep the same crisp/sharp top notes most of the day, yet still 'softens' a bit too. It's hard to explain - but definitely one to test rather than blind buy. As Persolaise on YT says, it is a real homage to No 19 and Private Collection, so if you haven't smelt it yet you def need to look out for it. Have a great day! 😀

I love green! Un jardin sur le Nil or en Méditerranée are favorites! 💚 Basilico & Felini by Vilhelm, Ormonde Woman by Ormonde Jayne, Florabotanica and Gucci Bloom Acqua Di Fiore are my top green in my collection. Maybe I could add La Petite Robe Noire Eau Fraîche, Basilic Nad Mandarine and Chance Eau Fraîche. I had a grass scent when I was in my teens but I can’t remember what it is… You look fabulous in any shade do not fear! 😍😍😍😉

Love this category of fragrances! I really like Fidji Guy Laroche & wears very softly now vs before. I also read about Givenchy lll & this sounds beautiful. I look forward to getting Jennifer Lopez Still fragrance someday, because of your videos. This reminded me to also add Calvin Klein Obsession Night For Women, & I get Earl Gray Tea with Bergamot, & Sweet Lemon. Also, Paco Rabanne Calandre, YSL Rive Gauche, Chanel #19 EDT, each smell like sheer floral green scents to me (& as recently purchased these current editions all smell very similar to each other, imho, so just pick by budget). Coriandre Jean Couturier is a sheer rose & fresh grassy, herbal & cilantro scent. Very pretty scent. Cacharel Noa & Noa Fleur so piercing & distinctly cool green scents; very pretty & modern bridal scent freshies, imho. Affordable gems are my jam; 90% of my collection are $, & the 10% rest a bit more $$.

You mentioned some absolute favourites Flora Botanica, Chanel no.19 and Hermès jardin sur le nil. I will add MM Replica Untitled, Amouage Myths and Figment, Xerjoff Fiero (only had a 8ml sample but I really like it).
