Restoring ecosystems is the most important part of healing the planet and creating a sustainable future for humans. Much of the vegetation should be food such as fruit trees. This could solve world hunger. Instead of planting typical trees in the cities, they should be fruit trees, etc.

@@sebastiendelavy5848 Also Pakistan are planting Billions of Trees, and China are planting a ‘’Great Green Wall of China’’ a new Coast to Coast Forest, to hold back desert. Africa are also planting a ‘’Great Green Wall of Africa’’. Which Senegal is the most advanced with, and is getting the benefits of food & water abundance etc.

Thanks to all who participated in this effort to regreen Ethiopia. This project need to be extended to other parts of Africa, to increase our rain fall and food production at the end. Ethiopian look to it that those trees planted have to be love and be protected.

Addition of Desmodium legume fodder cover crop will transform more lives being a source of protein fodder and perennial. It fixes nitrogen and stabilizes the soil.

The eradication of eucalyptus tree (bahr zaff) is extremely important in Ethiopia. It is not indigenous to Ethiopia so it must be part of the tree planting project.

Pity the erosion problems were not sorted out at the same time. Good to get the water in the ground on the mountains but all the work will not change anything if the topsoil is washed down stream every time it rains.
