this is why I love green day so much. Billie was struggling so much through the middle of the song with his throat and was able to push through it and still deliver a kickass performance

You could say the song fits Billie's situation well; he's showing that he isn't giving up despite his fatigue.

Billie without a guitar in hand...that's rare. But Jason White did an awesome job on guitar here. And Billie did a hell of a job on vocals

yes, of course, he was struggling during the song. They are on tour since January and they're playing a tons of shows. Revolution Radio tour has a strong setlist with many songs on it where he barely has time to breath. "Still Breathing" is one of these songs on the set. He's getting tired and older of course. Just take a look on Bon Jovi's voice change. The're not the youngest anymore, their show is 100% non-stop energy, but they always try to give 100% and that even if they are not able to do it. Let's just enjoy the music and be thankful for it. Thank you

spmusicstyle maybe it's not so much his voice being worn out, as much as billie just having an off day, I noticed with some other songs I've heard from this performance. Sure, still breathing isn't a song that sounds great live usually, but this performance was extra off. Forever now usually sounds awesome live tho, but again, this time it just sounded off

Never have I heard Billie Joe sing out of tune, even when it's an impromptu sing along ,any performance he gives is always 100%.....So who cares if he lS NOT TOTALLY PERFECT all the time. I Will always love him as a brilliant song writer and singer.

Elizabeth Harvey during this tour, they were performing literally every other day. On top of that, Revolution Radio has a very strong, massive set list. Also to mention that Green Day ALWAYS tries to go 100% for every performance no matter how worn out or fatigued they are. That’s why they’re one of the greatest.

Every singer beside him uses Autotune during live performances. Thats why they sound good. He is my favourite singer cause he never uses it.

This song means absolutely everything to me. When I was growing up there was no one who I could relate to. No one who knew what it was like to lose a parent at age 8. And then Billie came into my life. The second I heard his story I knew I was home. My dream is one day I can tell him that he's the reason I'm still breathing.

I know what you mean, I totally agree 'the Big Three' are part of Green Day, what I've said isn't at all meant to minimize their importance. Jason White has been playing a key part in the band's touring for so long, and the fact he's initially a great friend of Billie's is far from insignificant... Jason is essential and I'm glad he's still present, as before, despite having ceased to be an official member in 2015. I said 'touring member' strictly as opposed to 'official member', but to me, official / unofficial doesn't really matter, in 2017 Billie keeps calling Jason 'Cuatro' and that says it all.

I've dragged my sister who is not even a Green Day fan to three of their concerts with me, and despite only knowing the hits, she always says that this was her favorite song to hear them play live

This song is live so much better

Anxiety and panic attacks can make asthma worse. He has asthma he said it himself on Twitter. And then it can cause voice issues. That was part of the reason for why he use to drink and whatever else he use to do. I see people still debating whether he still drinks or not. If you need convincing that he doesn’t drink just watch this video. If he was still drinking he’d be calm and he wouldn’t be having those voice issues. Maybe he’s afraid to take a pill to calm him after what’s happened to him before
