Chicken Fricasse is a Greek dish that is made with chicken pieces, greens, and a luscious avgolemono (egg-lemon) sauce. In this recipe, I used boneless, skinless chicken breast to speed up the cooking time. As a result, a restaurant-worthy dish that the entire family will love is ready in only 30 minutes!

Recipe turned out perfectly! I used frozen chopped spinach since it was so much cheaper than fresh baby spinach. Did not make a difference! Excellent, well tested recipe that was very easy to prepare! Thanks Dimitra 😉☺️

Just wondering if I'm using whole pieces of chicken do I cook it like I would the lamb recipe ?
Do you think I could do this with fish as I don't eat any kind of meat I think it would taste good with halibut.

As i very rarely fry anything or use that much oil can i bake the chicken in the oven and continue to cook it in the sauce? Im cypriot but live in the UK and i love to cook greek food for myself as it brings back such good memmories. Thank you for making these great recipes!

Yes, you can do it under the broiler :) Place the oven rack as close to the broiler element as you can (also Do NOT sprinkle any FLOUR on the chicken if you're not frying it) and broil 5 minutes per side. Adding flour when broiling will cause it to burn. Instead, just drizzle olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Hope this helps!

Let me say that i love your channel!. When you did Avgolemono a couple of months ago I thought "hope she doesn't do Fricassee!" These were my two nightmare dishes from my childhood,hated them ! Sorry but I do love your channel!
