Greatest TRADER vs Greatest INVESTOR ! Simons Vs Warren Buffet: Who makes more money?
This video compares Jim Simons and Warren Buffet.
Jim Simons and Warren Buffett are two of the most successful people of all time. Simons is the founder of Renaissance Technologies, a quantitative trading firm that has generated an average annual return of 66% since 1988. Buffett is the chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, an investment firm that has generated an average annual return of 21% since 1965.
In terms of wealth, Simons is worth an estimated $28 billion, while Buffett is worth an estimated $104 billion as of early 2023. Simons' wealth is derived from his ownership of Renaissance Technologies, while Buffett's wealth is derived from his ownership of Berkshire Hathaway.
However, when it comes to returns, Simons has outperformed Buffett by a wide margin. Renaissance Technologies' flagship Medallion Fund has returned an average of 66% per year since 1988, while Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway has returned around 21% annually over the same time period.
Their styles are also vastly different. Simons is a quant trader who relies on sophisticated computer algorithms to make trades. He takes a data-driven approach to investing, using complex mathematical models to identify patterns and trends in the market. In contrast, Buffett is a traditional value investor who relies on his experience and judgement to identify undervalued companies with strong fundamentals. He famously avoids technology stocks and prefers to invest in companies with a durable competitive advantage.
Overall, while both Jim Simons and Warren Buffett are incredibly successful investors, they differ in their approach and style. Simons is a quant trader who relies on complex algorithms and mathematical models to make trades, while Buffett is a traditional value investor who seeks out undervalued companies with strong fundamentals. While Buffett has built a larger net worth over time, Simons has achieved much higher returns through his quant trading strategies.

Best video I have seen for a long long time .. thanks
Very good video Sir. You content is different, no one has made content like yours. Plz continue such a good work. We need mentors like you.
Trading is a zero sum game but you missed something very important. In the zero sum game here, not all experts are competing with themselves, money is actually flowing from immature and novice traders who are beginners, every year new people enter the market, those who survive and learn for a few years shift to the other side of profitable traders. This cycle keeps on running.
Appreciate your indepth Knowledge analysis .Truth Explained
Sir, you earned one more subscriber from this informative video.
Always worth listening you Sir. Your guidance is very much Valuable.
Thanks for this video series!especially the garud and pigeon analogy. This made me realize options is useless and finally at peace after deciding to get out of it🙏👏👏👏👍
Sir, always you love to hear you.. pure wisdom
A great video a great purpose. 🙏🙏
thanks to give great knowledge sir
Incredibly knowledgeable session 👌👍👍👍👍
It's misleading as the video is for retail and they don't have very high capital say above 10 lac . Trading is more or less standardized means every technical analysis book say same RSI ,Ema etc . Investing very difficult to learn if you wrong you pay heavy price. Investing is that easy why 80% mutual fund can't beat index even Buffett says to invest in index fund that too in USA. It's also myth that Buffett invest he also trade even sale option and he is doing it from 16 year to now 90+ .

Sir, I like your videos and have huge respect. Without watching the video, I can guess that Investor makes more money than Trader. But, In India, most of the people don't have money to invest. so, we need to start with learn trading, make good capital to start the investing journey. Most of the people are just meeting the daily needs with job/salary. Thank you very much.

Sir, with due respect to you, I would like to put forth my opinion here. Yes, I agree that most of the people do not have much money to invest. Do you know the minimum money required for trading? If you come with 10k, market will take that money in one week. What do you do then? Trading should only be done with surplus money. If you have one Lakh rupees in your trading account, your daily trade should max 20k. Not more than that.
Investment formula series banai sir ji ya book ka name dijiye
Ap ek aise video baniye sir.. 10-15 saal baad.. Trading kaise hogi .. Kis tarike se hogi .. Aur ARTIFICIAL intelligence ka kya role rahega stock market me.. And insaan ko beat kar paega AI in stock market.

Another thought provoking video Ajay, very apt and food for thought. As I'm in this journey - long term investor as well as an options writer, such confusions exist and clarity comes from these videos but decision making lacks. The point of capital is very relevant. After a certain point, it makes sense to e a good long term investor.
Love u Sir, ur true, i would say honest person, i m new in this world from last one year, i heard more then 1k u tube, but appreciate you are number one w.r t me, coz ur vedio resolved my way of thinking, loss or profit doesn't matters, Ur best..

I am hardcore trader , never share my strategy Your Video is really good Really genuine There should be more such genuines in the markets But the irony is if this types of videos are seen more then number of monkeys in markets will reduce. Traders never want this to happen 😅

Shumi was better I think and I will tell u why .. when he joined Ferrari , Ferrari was a bad car .. he took a bad car, worked with the team and engineers to improve the car... He became a champion with an average car. Hamilton got a great car to begin with. So a great car and a great driver vs Shumi average car and a great driver.

Climax of ur video was quiet true...in long term trader become the investor...when i started to participate in market i always wanted to be investor and avoid all trading...i was avoiding trading because of the counsel of learned people who use to tell trading, specially option trading somehow is alike gambling...i started reading few books and landed to an author who completely changed my mythology about trading ...who narrated trading as profitable profession....(Speculation is a profitable business) who described knowledge is more important that capital....prior to reading him i use to give 50:50 to knowledge and capital..after 3 years of hard work...after practicing my setup and improvising my setup.... now i can say i m professional trader...but this is just a beginning like i have been born to the world of trading now i have long way to go ahead......sometime i watch ur video but most of ur content are precise to investing so currently not able follow rigorously...but when this trader will turn to be investor than i will definitely choose to follow u religiously

Even if the formula is shared people wont be able to implement it because of the same reason - behavioral finance - most people fail on the part where the brain has to be managed

Jim simons actually does low latency, hes not an HFT guy. Thier holding time is 1/4 days.
Sir most important thing you have left out, trader will pay 40% tax and final compounding will come out to be 10..15% but long term investor maybe paying nothing in Tax and max 10%.
can u tell me about a real.investor?? plz
pata nahi mujhe video audio sync nahi lag raha hai.

Apke vivek bajaj bhi loud speaker mai strategy bolte hai. So baba bangali gai kya wo?
The main reason lot of people lose money in trading cuz no one is committed in what they are doing. They are engaged in some other profession and as they find time in betweeen they place trades and there are lot of people out their they jus think trading can create fortune in some days so they bring huge capital n lose everything cuz no knowledge and those 10% who really make money are the people who are doing real business they are committed to what they are doing. I'll take one example, what will be the probability if someone jus go in hospital and do the surgery what do you think will the patient live or die .. it's 100% sure that patient will die cuz he is not been operated by Pro doc same thing with trading if you take data of such thing then it will be 100% failure to become doc I hope you will relate this thing. Trading is serious business where you have to be really committed in what you are doing then only you will definitely be a successful trader🎉
🙏
cash market short or long term trading is much better than F & O trading, Mark Minervini's phenomenal success is a proof
👌👏👌

If I am not 🚫 wrong. Warren Buffett too takes trades in morning hours most of the days.
At least dont demotivate retail people. It is difficult to manage 100cr by trader.. but people starting with 2-3-5 lakh. Encouraging should be done more.
अजय सर. स्टॉक मार्केट मे कितनी खरी बात कोई नही बोलता.
Buffett was never such a super wealthy person if he resorted to well known investments technique Once He was very reckless trader/investor. People know nothing about him They know only goody goody investor Warren Buffett But not the ruthless and reckless Warren Buffett.
Sir, vivek bajaj ne around 150 face2face kiya usme se around 140 face2face trading ke upar hoga so aap vivek bajaj ko boliye face2face stock ke fundamental ke upar, business model ke upar kare tabhi uske stockedge ko jyaga subscription milega buster milega kyuki face2face se logo ki jindagi khatam karne ka kam mat karvao sir.
