World-renowned wine author James Halliday has collected the wines of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti for decades, among thousands of other wines. His collection is/was one of the world's greatest wine treasures. In 2020 he decided, at the age of 81-nearly-82, that time waits for no man and that it was time to pass the wines onto someone else. It wasn't an easy decision.
His cellar went under the hammer at Langton's Wine Auction in June-July 2020.
