A great white shark (Carcharodon carcharias) feeds on a grey seal off the south tip of Monomoy Island, Chatham, MA on August 22, 2012. Shark was easily 15' long and was previously tagged by Dr. Greg Skomal of the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries. Better edited version can be viewed at • Great White Shark Atta...

I agree with you and no problem. I used to go to the Cape, get on a raft and my father had to come get me! Many years and never saw a shark. I know it's different with the seals now but you are 100% correct. Everything has its place and the eco system needs the sharks. I have a friend who cried when she saw the sharks in a aquarium. She felt bad for them, I swear. We need people who think more like you. ;) Have a great night
"Dad? Dad? Dad? He's under the boat!" - thats great!
Fascinating to see the Great White up close feeding, many thanks for the video. It puzzles me that there are dislikes for this clip...Is it that people dislike you filming nature, or do these people think that the shark is being cruel in its feeding habits? Perhaps these people would prefer the shark to change its diet and behaviour? Thanks again Keith
actually that is just a gentle giant living in his world, the water! Need not fear them though, look how it first gently bit to see if it was food,
Well Done, Peter! Great Capture! That seal was probably delicious!
we were about 800' off the beach in 25' of water. thanks!
Incredible! Thanx so, so, much for posting the vid :))
he's got lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll's eyes.
Great video! Thanks for posting it!
THAT is what I want to do too... It's a dream of mine. How long ago did you go and I am presuming you did a cage dive....Did you take any underwater photos? That is such a dream of mine... goodness
Incredible! Thanx so much for posting :))
you been countin money with those hands hooper!!!!!
I just hope one day I can see one of these magnificent creatures instead of watching it on video.
Awesome Great Footage how far off the shore were You ??
probably the intensity of what was happening anyway.
I was thinking that too
The waters of the cape are no longer safe to swim in.
That's pretty much how I maul a bowl of corn and kielbasa chowder
What makes you think that any part of the ocean is or was ever really safe?
Certain areas are safer than others.
were going to need a bigger boat....
"Smile you son of a bitch"
a one foot 3 way hook with a blow up seal will do the trick.
KING SIZE BREAKFAST!
That little kid is about to pee his pants
Dad-Dad-Dad-Dad-Dad-Dad-Dad-Dad..... lol ..
Sorry, wasn't trying to sound confrontational, just concerned.
Keep telling yourself that.
nom noms!
Peter Benchley wrote the book, Spielberg made an amazing movie out of it and ignorant people decided to declare war on an animal that rarely actually attack and kill humans. We're destroying their ocean, they aren't the real threat.
Ugh. I can't stand Spielberg. As a frequent visitor to the Cape.....scary stuff.
WOWWWWWWW! Yikes!!!!!!!
these people sound disturbing, emotionless.
Iknow all that. I am on your side. They are amazng creatures. Joking. I know sharks are being killed and it meeses up the eco system.
