    Bro that spot’s notorious for very large great whites. The fish there are always massive and so are the sharks. I was actually supposed to be there one day when some buddies of mine got bumped by a 15 to 18 footer. Just know that if you see sea lions there, it’s always a good sign. If you don’t see sea lions there, it’s because the sharks are there that day. There’s a sea lion reserve nearby that spot.

    Good move to huddle up when seeing the shark. Also smart to be ready with something to bonk them in the nose if they get too close. But, best to pull all stringers with fish and bait into the boat and wait them out. Glad to see you guys made it to do another video!

    This same thing just happened to me 2 days ago in La Jolla.. I was by myself with no one near me and it circled me for a similar amount of time. But it was circling about 2x as fast as that white shark was. Didn’t swim away until I swatted my paddle at it. Easily one of the most nerve racking experiences of my life!

    I remember seeing a great white out of the mouth of Bodega that was 19'. This was about 62/63. A fisherman shot it while it was basking. It was a monster to me. They are imposing in the water.

    Great video! Awesome catches and the Shark... well, I will never forget surfing at Tunitas Creek with a friend and just about the same time we saw a huge Great White below us circling also. Freakin scared shitless, it was AT LEAST ten feet if not more like 15 and looked as big as a school bus! Needles to say we headed in legs up and caught any little whitewater foam we could.

    Those White Sharks are known to come up at speed directly under Kayaks and literally launch the kayaker Into the air. Usually they do not care about the person and it is a territorial attack because they want you out of there hunting ground.

    We had to run in with a pretty big juvenile shark out at Sea Cliff Beach a month or so ago. It looks to be about 8 to 10 ft and it circled our boat for about 20 minutes coming right next to the boat and putting its eye up looking right at us. We were on a boat and not a kayak so the experience was more fun and less scary.

    My advice is to always drag your catch behind you. Tie it to the kayak so you know when something big is eating your fish. Maybe you can get a sleigh ride from a big great white shark, now that would be epic!! Let's watch and see what happens

  • @aaronwalker8847

    @aaronwalker8847

    Жыл бұрын

    You don't want no sleigh ride from no shark. Kayaks are false keel , displacement hull boats. They can only go so fast before they flip back over front or visa versa. If you get drug backward, you flip at lower speed than fwd. . Long story short, if the shark drags you by a fish stringer. Which doesn't have drag like a rod and reel. You are going swimming with the shark. If that happens - You're gonna have a bad time. Itll be most un-epic. I had about a 8 foot bull shark dragged me under by my stringer of fish. When I was surf fishing in grand isle Louisiana, muddy water. He drug me a good 25 yards out before I cut the stringer and got loose. That was the scariest swim back in I ever had. Lost my favorite penn reel that day too.
