GREAT WESTERN STEAM LOCOMOTIVE PANORAMA

Whilst this video, shot between 2014 and 2016, does not claim to be a complete survey of preserved G.W. locomotives it does feature 37 individual locomotives representing 19 different classes. From the mighty King Class down to the diminutive Vale of Rheidol 2-6-2T it represents the wide diversity that was the Great Western Railway locomotive fleet.
8th Jan. 2017. Two ammendments apply to the opening titles:
No. 813 is a 0-6-0ST and No.4270 is a member of the 4200 Class.
Companion video:- Southern Steam Locomotive Panorama, can be found on: • SOUTHERN STEAM LOCOMO... and British Standard Locomotive Panorama on: • BRITISH STANDARD LOCOM...

What a superb compilation, Alan, and a very substantial achievement. Despite my fondness for the GWR green livery, my favourites in this video are 6023 King Edward II in an immaculate blue and 7820 Dinmore Manor in shiny black. There is so much here that I will need to view this again, probably several times! Kind regards, Bob.

So pleased that you enjoyed it Bob. I never saw a blue King but I certainly remember my first blue Duchess, Buccleuch to be precise, and a sight that I will never forget...gosh, I'm getting old! Regards Alan

Shame about the errors in the captions - the 7200 class were 2-8-2Ts/4270 was a 4200 class loco, while 813 is 0-6-0ST, not 0-6-0PT
