Never mind the bike . I was shocked to see the socks. They reminded me of a Rubik Cube 😀

Why do so many of these ebikes come with heavy, metal mudguards? havent they heard of plastic and they'd save a kilogram of weight!
@baconbuttties

To be fair the mudguards don't weigh much.

My ado air 20 now has metal mudguards and a rack, after fitting them as accessories. I have also fitted the optional throttle and changed the motor to hybrid drive and de limited the max speed. It only has a 250 watt ce approved motor but ' where permitted ' it can do 22 mph on the flat via the throttle and a little pedalling. It can only do 15.5 mph assisted via the pedals still. Therefore the extra weight of the metal mudguards and rack haven't made a functional difference to speed. On the road it can quickly be made legal again by removing hybrid drive on the App menu.
I would've liked to have seen a top speed test on flat ground on setting 3 to see how fast you could go and see what the cadence was like at top speed. As there are only 7 speeds is the cadence low enough that your not spinning too much.

It's limited to 15.5mph and once you get to gear 6 or 7 the cadence is low enough.

@baconbuttties

@@topher3161 I think most people who use bikes daily have to ride in the rain. Most ebikes are water resistant.
Can this bike be unlock did you find out after? like the bike but would like a little more speed if needed.

I think most ebikes can be unlocked for a little extra speed. I haven't looked though.

I must admit, these cheaper ebikes are not really my thing, I did prefer the self builds, but I guess these help pay the bills 👍

I see you have a Nissan Leaf. I also own a Nissan leaf. A 2016 30 kwhr Teckna 6.6 charger in Arctic white, built at Sunderland. It is 8 years old but has only done around 40 k miles, yet the battery capacity and range has now degraded 42% with the loss of 5 battery bars. I will never buy another EV ever again after knowing now that it will probably only last half the time of my diesel E Class Mercedes, which is 16 years old and much less than 1/2 the time of my 20 year old Mazda MX5 nb. Both ice cars are working wonderfully well still, the Mercedes still having a range of 650 miles brimmed at highway speeds. The Leaf however is now used by the wife as a local shopping trolley, tethered to our octopus go home charger range, which is short and getting shorter with each day and use cycle that passes. How can an EV, that lasts only half the time of an ice car be more environmentally friendly, when it is a short time throw away item eccentially. It is now basically worthless on the second hand market. I would sell yours now before it is also worthless, or even more so than it is already.

My daughter has a 10 year old Nissan leaf with 11 bars at 48,000 miles. Also modern EV batteries are not the same as the original Leaf. I have had plenty of bad experiences with petrol and diesel cars and scrapped my Meriva b at 49,000 miles...... Does that mean I should never buy a petrol or diesel car again?
@stevezodiac491

@baconbuttties I have never had an experience as bad as with our EV, utter rubbish, not fit for purpose and the battery concept is fatally flawed by degredation as is the case with all lithium ion batteries.. Even modern EV batteries degrade, like battery life's Volkswagen id3, that has lost 10% capacity in 2 years. Hopeless !
