As someone who switched to two handed less than 2 months ago, it's good to see another two hander who's far more polished than me devoted to fine tuning their game. Now that league is over, I'm practicing at the same house on different days. (It's one of the few houses left that has wood lanes) Sometimes it's during rock/rap & bowl.......dark, strobe lights, and some shady characters that'd fit right in at the Mos Eisley cantina. So the mental game of blocking that crap out gets plenty of practice. 😏 Watching channels like yours helps my mindset too. Keep fine tuning and with your dedication, it's only a matter of time before you'll be consistently making the cut. 💪

Thank you for the kind words! That's definitely a great way to practice blocking out distractions. I used to bowl during disco during practice but got tired of all the little kids running around in front of me during my approach! Keep up the hard work!

i recently walked away from swag and california bowling because as a very rev and speed dominant player the equipment is just not fit for my two handed style and was just overal underwelming. I switched to hammer and since have been very successful and am loving the reaction i am getting and putting up scores i never could with swag. No hate to swag though i will always love them but for tournaments its made a huge difference. Great bowling and always great watching your vids!! Keep up the great work!!

Sorry to hear that. Sometimes that happens unfortunately where the bowler does not match the brand. In your case, not quite sure how you are rev and speed dominant? It is usually one or the other. For me, as a two hander, im slightly rev dominant and as long as im not throwing a ball with too low of an RG they are powerful!

Yeah, it sounds like it could be layout/surface issues since like what BigSky said, you’re not dominant in one or the other if you have both high revs and throw fast.

I feel your pain, I just did the opposite last night in league. I started painfully with a 121, then followed it up with a 195 and finished with a 191. Your video on the off-hand placement helped me a ton over the past month and a half. I went from a 140-150 average on house, to a 180-185 average in my first league ever. 🤙

@@BigSkyBowler Yeah, it was insanely helpful. I have a separate question about asymmetrical balls. I’m getting a rotogrip gem and I just wanted more info/expertise with regards to how the 2ls system actually affects the shape of a ball like the gem since I know the cover stock and asymmetrical core are generally going to give it that traction shape to forward roll I’ve been missing in my arsenal. Will the number 2 from 2ls ruin that shape and make it continuous? I wanted to use it on fresh and confirm the #6 layout would be in line for what I needed with this, but the #2 layout is what I run on my 900 global zen so I didn’t know if I should run the same layout on the gem. Thanks for your time and help brotha! As much as it’s blowing up I’m still having trouble finding videos on 2 handers applying the different layouts with actual videos of it them in action on the same ball to really know.

@@seand.3085 something to keep in mind with layouts, they have less impact on overall ball motion and shape than the coverstock does. Layouts in general are controlling very basic things with the balls core. If you use that layout with the gem and it doesn't give you what you were looking for, adjust the surface. In most cases it's best to stick with no more than two layouts and just fine tune surface to control the shape. I use Mikey pinels PAL system and I use three main layouts.

@@BigSkyBowler Ah ok, thank you for the clarity! That makes more sense now. I’m definitely going to try that in this case.

@@BigSkyBowler Just got back from practice, it was house and not League, but I had my best game ever, a 288. Almost packed them all out but hit an 8 after my first strike in the 10th then closed the spare. So close to my first 300!
