Thanks for sharing Don't know why so many who make video's don't reveal punlic access locations, really appreciate that ! Quite sure there's plenty of crystals to be found, if it helps motivate others to get out doors and enjoy nature, that's a good thing !

Oh wow, I sure miss rockhounding and fossil hunting! Love to watch others do it though, and still learning a lot. Plus, you're the only other person I know that had an extreme allergic reaction that caused hugely swollen hands. Same thing happened to me years ago-woke up at 1 am with hands (and lips--think Cardi-B!) so swollen and painful I couldn't move my fingers. Had to wake my mother up to drive me to the ER. It happened again about 2 months later--and we never did figure out what set it off. Ended up having to carry an Epi-Pen, as I'm already allergic to wasp and bee stings. I'm glad you ultimately figured out what set yours off. And glad you post these videos, I really enjoy rockhounds!

Jeff may get nicer stuff as suggested, who knows. I do know that filming while digging sure slows a person down. I guess it depends on your end game. In this case, I appreciate that yours is to continue sharing great spots for others to see. I have no doubt that your collection is pretty nice despite filming AND you've helped me start mine over the years. So thanks man. Keep it up.

I have two Gniess road cuts, both highly rich in Almandine Garnets right outside my University, where I study Geology. So basically if I want to observe what I learned in class, I just take a 20 minute walk down the highway. Word of advice, regardless of what you have, if you mention a famous locality or region, people are more willing to buy your minerals. I've seen rocks from my county field guides, which is Jackson County in one of the most famous regions on earth, Western North Carolina.

The entire rock face (not sure if that’s the correct term) is made up of the same minerals as a large rock I found near Burks Falls, Ontario. It’s funny I’m looking over at my rock while watching it’s giant version on KZread. Part of me thought oh I should show my rock this video.. it might be lonely. 🤣

LOL Funny. I had some sort of reaction to who-knows-what about 10 years ago. It made my feet and hands burn a bit but ITCH a lot. My feet had never been itchy before and this was insanity itching. My doctor gave me cortisone cream to put on and pills to take away the itch (thank goodness). The cream made my feet and hands peel like your hands. Big thick layers of skin before it was all said and done. Never did discover what the reaction was from but hope I never get it again.

Oh, and meh on the quartz. I'm tempted to make a short little video of some of the quartz I've collected at Steep Rock. The clarity is comparable to Arkansas material. Not in veins there. An old dolostone, much like Herkimer Co. but red not grey. Also find very sharp, often druzy covered dolomite crystals, up to ~4cm edges, 2.8Ga stromatolites (the oldest in Canada, some dome structures ~5x5m!), and if you're REALLY lucky (like my brother!) amazing shiny botryoidal hematite (which was the ore they were after there).

I like your videos because I used to dig various southwestern deposits on a frequent basis but now live in an unproductive area. You're a handsome guy but your videos would be more interesting if you pointed the camera at the rock more instead of having people look at your face for half the video. Maybe pan the camera across interesting areas of the deposit while you narrate. People come to see rocks, they already know what you look like, and they can see faces all day long anywhere. The rocks are what you have to offer so highlight them as much as possible.

Oh my gosh I do not mean to be offend anyone but ASIF they act like their skin is made up of 'gold' or something. When people tend to have horrible attitude like that towards someone they call a friend I'd really would not want to be the one they care about. Shheessht talk about being bitter for the man with the car it's not difficult to vaccum and the female acts like her skin is made up of toilet paper real dang fragile. My dad and partner both have hands that always felt like that I never thought to complain about it though.
