My granddaughter is 4 years old. I can’t wait to teach her to sew. She is with me in my sewing room all the time, so it definitely will be a familiar place when that time comes.
Love this! Sometimes we need something easy and mindless! Thanks Kimberly!
Great fast pattern to use up lots of scraps. I think it would look beautiful in batiks
Yay. Good way to use the variety of Halloween in The Stash. 🎃
Love this quilt and it's quickness. I am looking fir a few quick quilts for the church fund raiser. This will be one. I think I will use red, white, and blue patriotic colors since I went crazy buying Primitive Gatherings fabric! Thank Kimberly. Healing prayers to you.

Roberta, you read my mind! I need to get a quilt together by mid-November for a “Come Home for Christmas” gathering at our church. Selling baked goods, crafts, quilts, and things of the like. This is the perfect quilt pattern! I don’t have much time, so I better get moving!
This is really good advice about picking the patterns for the blocks.
Thanks so much for a friendly fat eight quilt pattern. This pattern has very little background fabric and really focuses on the primary fabric collection. I love it!!!
Thank you, about 2.5years ago I started show my GREAT NIECES how to quilt! Sew much fun, ages at that time were, 11, 9, 7 & 5…. They were all able to make a quick easy quilted project with me! Thank you for this quilt pattern it’s perfect for our sewing projects!
What a great pattern to help get your confidence back if you have lost your sewjo. Thanks, FQS!
Thank You. 🙏
OH My! That's a great idea to use a lot of extra scrap pieces for the rectangles.
Thanks Kimberly - this will make great gifts for my grandchildren!!!

With a birthday in October and a name that appears as The Witch in books frequently, chose to use stash of Halloween fabric for the queen sized option. Doing 12 blocks a day for a week-long project. TU FQS team. Happy Haunting
So cute! Thanks!

I really like this pattern, so simple yet pretty! Thanks
Love this pattern…thanks ✂️🧵🪡🔆❤️
Great quilt thanks for the pattern!
It would be faster to sew the white onto the fat eights as one long strip before they are cut into rectangles.

Was thinking the same thing. As long as the pattern isn't highlight directional that it can't be flipped.

I am new to this what do you mean by starching?
@dianareddell1496
2 жыл бұрын
@@kimleif2533 praying starch and pressing your fabrics smooth before cutting. It makes them crisp and more stable so they’re easier to cut and handle. This is especially true if you are using flannel to make your patchwork with.

Mine too, I've been making quilts for years but Kimberly's tips have made my quilt-making so much more precise and seams that fit together nicely. I looked at the last quilt I made and could see how much better it looked than when I first started. I now take time to starch, pin more often and iron frequently, paying attention as I do.
Really nice quilts thanks for video.
I love this. I am so new to quilting and this is a 'must try' for me. Thank you so much.

I've been searching for a different baby quilt pattern than all the rest and I came across this pattern. I love watching your tutorials very thorough!! I used some of my Little Ducklings - Broken Star fat 8th bundle and it turned out gorgeous. I only used two rows of five blocks for a smaller version for a baby, and it turned out awesome.
Thanks for another great tutorial and free pattern. Also enjoyed the opening.
This pattern is wonderful. Thank you, FQS!

I am always looking for fat eighth patterns! 😁
Both are really cute
I love Kimberly ❤️.
Great easy fat eighth quilt
Beautiful quilt, Kimberly! How do you know when to switch from Aurifil 2000 to 2600? I know we did with some darker backgrounds, but this one has white.
Sew fun!
I’ve watched this channel for years off and on and this pattern finally made me subscribe. Couple of questions, how big of a quilt does this make and is that just a piece of white cloth you hv put over ur ironing mat?? Do so love this pattern it’s a simple design with quiet an impact when finished. I’m not a child but I’m making this one, I hv tons of scraps I can use up on this one. Also, the quilting on this is just beautiful, may I ask what this design is?
