The bridge over Lasalle Causeway at 1.33 is no longer there. It was damaged and has been removed.

Enjoyed the ride up the locks and was really interesting . The rest of the canal looks to be a thrill ride.

Looks like you're transiting through the Jones Falls lock station. It can be a bustling station in the middle of the summer. Enjoy the Rideau Canal. It's a Unesco World Heritage site.

We did this canal in ‘63. I wish you had mentioned some of its history. Just a thought, but we didn’t want to use our good fenders against the rough lock wall. Instead used a 2X4 lined with old fire hose. I wish Sam had narrated

Nice share! btw, did you monitor depth throughout the canal trip? And, if yes, what were the lowest reads? I ask because it states a low of 5 feet during some time of the boating season. I heard you tell the the lock attendant on several occasions that you draw 4.5 feet which is rather close. I assume that you never felt bottom on your trip. Might you know what time of year the Rideau has the highest water? Thank you!

Yes we monitored death very closely throughout the trip. We felt like the water level was highest at the beginning of the season and that's why we did it at that time.

Are you still on the Rideau Canal, and if so where abouts? I have followed your channel since the first loop and live close to the cannel and would like to meet.
