‘Great honour for the club’: Prince William visits Wrexham FC
Prince William has met with Wrexham FC officials during a visit to Wales.
The Prince poured drinks behind the bar at the Turf Pub, made famous by the documentary about the club’s fortunes since its Hollywood takeover.
Wrexham FC was bought by actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, who turned the purchase into a popular TV series about the team’s rise to fame.
The Prince met with co-owner and Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Rob McElhenney, who welcomed the Prince with open arms, as he did for King Charles, who also visited the team in 2022.
“It’s not very often that you get a call from the Palace,” Mr McElhenney told Sky News.
“My plan was not to be here, I start shooting on Monday, but when you get a call from the Prince, you come because it’s a great honour.
“It’s a great honour for the club.”

It was crazy here in Wrexham that day because as well as the Prince we had Luke Evans the actor filming in the town centre. I did lots of videos of him. Then we had the St David's day march and the welcome to wrexham film crew filming that. Its very surreal having royalty and hollywood actors visiting our town!
The press needs to stop piling on the fact that Princess Catherine isn’t on duty lately. She needs to rest and re cooperate after surgery. 🙄 that will take time. Nice to see Prince William out, hope he’s doing ok after his sad news lately about his friend.

Where are Catherine and Williams children. Why was 10 year employed nanny sacked yesterday? Did she raise the issue of mental health effects of isolating children from schoolfriends and reality? Children not seen since 25 Dec 2023. The speculation that they've been bumped off will start soon.
